Can't fvcking win can we!

We set our targets too "low" and it's "Ahhhhhh shit player only played 15 games last season what are our scouting team doing?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!"

Set the targets too "high" and it's "Too ambitious, player will NEVER come to us whilst we're shit arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!"

Grebfromgrebland - please tell us. What do you want the club to do?

Probably sell up or bring in more investment and expertise.  They have made some major goof ups with planning with regard to player contracts, recruiting/retaining scouts and our head of recruitment.  We've spent 3 windows wasting time on targets that are out of reach to us.  Its clear something needs to change.

Our problem could be outgoings I.e. No one wants to pay early for those out of contract in the summer. U21s like Kristiansen would make sense in this case as would have flexibility. No point giving someone who is fit 60-80k/wk and no squad number…

Connor Gallagher being mentioned to us as five other clubs on loan till the end of season.

Similar to KDH, not prolific enough to replace Maddison. I'm not convinced by him

Praet could be got rid of I'm convinced of it and you tell Soyuncu and Perez that whoever they agree pre contracts with can have them on loan until the end of the season as long as they cover their wages in full and possibly a modest loan fee.

It just seems we are not compromising on sale prices, as it takes an age to move people on, even where there is reported interest

Daniel Sturridge is apparently in talks with a premier league club following his contract ended playing in Australia. Not saying its us but thinking of the Rodgers connection with Liverpool. I somehow don't think he'd be the answer to our problems.

Agree. The later they leave that discussion the cheaper they will have to pay…

That's much the case already with Soyunucu isn't it? Atleti want him now but we want a CB in

Some of the decision making around departures has baffled this season. Bids for Praet and Soumare turned down in the summer

This is something that seems weirdly unique to Leicester. We either sell for minimum what we brought a player for, or wait until their contract is up. Musa was somehow signed for what we paid for him, but then you have players like Adrien Silva and Islam Slimani that bounced from one loan move to another ad infinitum. Perhaps wages were an issue, but in football no signing is a shoe in so sometimes accepting the markdown should be par for the course.

The club not doing this is what leaves us with deadweight, which means the squad stagnates.

A big clear out of players is needed and wage costs need reducing. On the face of it , it looks like they are simply taking their money and running and are no longer trying for BR. If we are bottom at the end of the month real action needs to be taken.

Notts Forest supposedly in for the old Costa Rican keeper Navas, to fill in for Henderson who is out for a month. Obviously not fancying playing Hennessy then for a few games. The keeper Wales see as better than Ward.

Percy:

"Leicester are also looking to trim their squad before the window closes, with Ayoze Perez, Jannik Vestergaard, Caglar Soyuncu and Dennis Praet understood to be available."

There was talk pre christmas he was training with Huddersfield Town and even that spell even they wouldn't offer him contract.

Not surprised, he's also very injury prone.

We might attract sponsorship from Stannah Stairlifts

Remember they could take us down.

But we could come straight back up again. :D

Tony Cottee came from Malaysia on a similar basis - if it was pay as you play not sure we lose anything - we need injections of fresh faces and as long as no big financial risk any kick up the proverbial for a few of the team would help!

‘Understood to be available’! Crikey we’ve been trying to shift them since then end of last season, in the cases of Perez & Praet, longer still.

Trouble is, nobody wants to give us the quantity of paint (to use on the ground extension) we’re asking for them. We might have to go ‘5L and you can have two?’
