I reckon he’ll end up having a similar career style to Iheanacho.

 

You know - looks alright from the bench, flashes of brilliance, but never really having enough consistency of performance to impose himself on a club as a regular starter.

If we were to buy O’Reilly for £20-25m and give him a 5 year deal you are looking at £4-5m per season in regards to PSR so not a massive outlay if finance is not an issue, but more how we stay compliant with the PSR rules then it could happen. In reality if he is available I am pretty sure he will have more attractive options open to him.

It'll all depend on his wages, we've got quite a lot of room on amortisation vs other premier league clubs now so the fee won't be the challenge, it'll be what wages he wants.

 

In addition to this, if we shift Daka or Soumare out for around 10m it'll write off 4m a year the amortisation as well so I definitely think we'll have money to spend.

 

The bigger challenge will be persuading him to come.
