Yeah there's a lot of lip service to everything. Still skirted safe standing even tho clubs are now trailing it.

Suggested they will ask fans who attend old Trafford, Stamford Bridge and Spurs new ground to provide feedback now they have permission to trail. Can't see it myself.

It’s a shame as it would be so easy for them just to poll all season ticket holders on who would:

A) Like to see it at the KP in general

and

B) Like to move to or be in a safe standing area themselves

Then they can seriously look at suitable sized areas of the ground to implement it.

The safe standing at Liverpool last week was so refreshing. I understand it’s not for everyone- but the club could really do with getting an opinion from a large amount of the supporters.

Like you said it’s disappointing, especially as they won’t give us any indication as to whether it won’t or will happen.

Apparently Liverpool aren't an approved trails the 3 clubs listed plus man city are. But at the point we played man city pre 1st of Jan they weren't either so the club has no interested in any feedback Apparently lol

@Bayfoxthanks for the post earlier. On the goal music, do they ever say why they decided to bring it back, especially after scrapping it before the pandemic?

And do they ever say who makes the decision? Is it just the stadium announcer or is it a decision other people are involved in too?

Yes. They basically binned Fire after the helicopter incident. Then brought it back under empty stadiums. They would like to have something more relevant to us. But then because of the issues surrounding Tom They decided to distance themselves from that as well. So it seems we are stuck with what we have.

It's a club decision. They actually showed a clip where they showed that because fans interact with it as they call it. By now doing the du du du du du dua dua da etc it's apparently reason to keep it.

I actually like the Kungs song.  Reminds me of when we used to win lots of games and score lots of goals.

Reminds me of a 5 nil defeat in porto. Must have missed our goals that night lol

It's beyond belief really.

What is the rationale for goal music? Had we begun to NOT celebrate when we score goals?

The current music is worse as it's so loud, and rhythmic. After your natural reaction - jumping, shouting and cheering the goal, then  when you begin to applaud you can't help but clap in time with the music, it's like a f**king resonant frequency, you can't not interact. Goebbels would impressed!

But it's good cos some fans du du du along to it.

Well at least it's a tune that doesn't require you to remember any words I suppose! :dunno:

Bin bin bin everything that doesn’t constitute a piece of our history or something that means something to the club pre game. Shite chart music, clappers and the rest. Try and introduce a real use of things like when your smiling instead of the happy clappy family resort routine we peddle nowadays. Sad to hear that they don’t seem interested in suggestions. Once again boils down to the fact it’s a football club run by neither fans or football people. Nowt will change until that changes.

Or did they identify a cash cow and put £100m into it.

I’m not knocking the owners. It’s the fact that more often than not nobody in a position of authority at most clubs especially ours is a genuine match going supporter. It means that their interpretation of what a match day should look like is usually way off what it should be. In our case, it’s light years.

Fword they are adamant they only took 290 tickets for players and staff.

Expect annual accounts to go in soon. Losses of around 30 million but all attributed to covid. Revenue actually up.

Heard the exact same on forest. Everyone seems to have stopped moaning about this though.

On the accounts that's amazing considering everything.

Did they mention anything on the rediculous pre match music and the volume of it. And why they feel the need to play it right up to kick off. Absolutely kills all pre match atmosphere

What am I missing here?

Never liked goal music but the club have had it for years now and obviously think it's normal. I actually quite like the song at the end of games if we win. I think it works really well.

Did they being up away priority tickets and potentially changing the system?

Great to get feedback on this, thanks!
