Yes. They basically binned Fire after the helicopter incident. Then brought it back under empty stadiums. They would like to have something more relevant to us. But then because of the issues surrounding Tom They decided to distance themselves from that as well. So it seems we are stuck with what we have.

It's a club decision. They actually showed a clip where they showed that because fans interact with it as they call it. By now doing the du du du du du dua dua da etc it's apparently reason to keep it.

Thanks @Bayfox that’s very interesting.

I can understand why, if you’ve decided to have goal music in principle, you might want something relevant to the club.

What I can’t really understand is why they decided to have music in the first place, since they never explained it to anyone at the time.

What you said about fans joining in makes sense from their perspective I suppose as a reason to justify it now.

But it’s still a retrospective justification for an action they have already taken on behalf of fans, without consulting before.

Also it’s not like we didn’t celebrate goals without goal music - so they have, effectively, decided they they prefer fans to celebrate in a way that is co-ordinated by the PA system rather than spontaneously.

(This is not a criticism of what you said btw, but the arguments I would make to the club!)

It was £7 for an open can of warm and stale Heineken at Wembley for the euro 2020 semi

And people moan about Scandinavian countries being expensive.

I would rather be paying £6 for a nice pint of Tuborg in Denmark than nearly £6 of p1ss at the KP.

It's all very well moaning on Foxestalk but I doubt the club pay any attention or even read it (are they aware it exists?). What avenues do we have to get the view about goal music made clearly to the club? We can all fire off emails to lcfc help, and I have, but nothing changes. Brick walls and heads it seems.

Alternatively, perhaps FT is out of step with the majority of the fanbase?

maybe start chanting twat twat twat...  THis would make us smile after a goal and let them know we don't like the music

People actually buy that shit in the ground?

Crazy

Season ticket pricing to go up. Do we think that we will also see match ticket pricing going up also?

Gone under the radar but they go up most seasons.

All these adverse comments about the alcohol being served up at the King Power makes me think, why buy it in the first place?

If no-one bought this so-called piss surely someone at the Club might notice and ask a question or two.

I have a beer at a pub both before and after the game away from the stadium and thoroughly enjoy it. It would never enter my head to purchase one at the ground.

These are very isolated comments. Look around you in the concourse at games, there are always lots of people drinking. Alcohol and food is a completely captive market, if it was £10 a pint and £20 a pie, you'd still have people buying.

Some folk have more money than sense.

This was a very early mention and certainly there will be more discussion. The room seemed to mainly accept it was probably overdue if that makes sense.

However having taken time to take this in. I'd reckon it would make the club between 780k and 1.5 million tops looking at the numbers mentioned. So it's a drop in the ocean really. I will certainly be emailing to make that point now I've had time.

I would agree with you on that yeah.

I don't mind the price of stuff in the concourse, it's expected, but I do mind the awful quality of service and product that is offered. If they care at all about 'matchday experience' they would sort this crap out. Bought a sausage roll today and it was completely burnt on the bottom. The staff are brain dead, I'm sorry but they are. Trying to give you a scolding hot sausage roll without a tray, or acting like you've just asked for their bank details when you ask for a fork to eat a pie. Yes many are students but this would all be remedied with the most basic levels of common sense / training.

I never do but there's so many who accept the sub par ale out of habit. I think everyone knows it's piss but it's so ingrained in the culture that they'll accept that.

When's this current catering contract up? I remember it being a big one.

Serving all liquids in plastic cups is annoying, doubling up of plastic waste and having to drink it in the concourse.

Is this stadium wide or just in L block out of fear for using bottles as missiles?

When was the last time you had a non-plastic cup out bottle in a ground?

Doubling of plastic waste? Even though its recyclable?

It's a bit daft they don't give you £1 back or something, as is normal for sporting events where they reuse the plastic cups

....all sound like mind control and a fiendish plot to take over the world!!!

Goal music is played all over the world, in totally different  sports, no one is sitting their rubbing their hands thinking what the next stage will be in their pursuit for world dominance.

Would a klaxon suffice or a blast on the hunting horn.

All it does is to signify that a goal has been scored. It maybe too loud and some people may have other preferences of the genre of the tune being played, but this is not some kind of club control.

It’s more that the song itself is absolute shite. I mean I don’t think we should have any at all but it would be less of a gripe if it wasn’t butlin’s resort fodder.

.. you are never going to get such a diverse audience to agree on the music that we play!!!

The demographic is the first hurdle, we are not going to get around that!

I would think a poll at the ground at match day, would show a lot more in favour, than you would think.

No I absolutely know that’s true. Just look around when we score at home and it’s mostly people dancing around like it’s a school disco. Can’t we just celebrate a goal? Like most teams manage every weekend? Without chart music?
