It is a cracker to be honest. Lot of words though and some twists and turns. But sums up our title... with a few alterations.

There was a guy with a guitar in the Irish Bar in Randers who had learned the Jersey Budd version and people were getting involved. Definitely an opportunity to do more with that version but never really heard the club push it.

Wish we did have an anthem though,I think itt would benefit the KP loads

Got to admit, that does sound good. Maybe the choir need to sing it 7 or 8 times on the trot to get people to join in…. On Saturday they must have sung 30 chants, start to join in with one and the next one comes along.

It's because it's sung too fast so it's unrecognisable as an actual song to many I reckon. The projectors amongst us need to set the tempo. Orchestra's need a conductor and all that.

Personally I'm a fan of WYS. It is part of our tradition, and it's ours. 

 

I also think the lyrics translate well to football, it should be played after the final whistle at the KP whether we win or lose. Stop your sighing, be happy again, cos when you're smiling, when you're smiling, the whole world smiles with you! 

 

The lyrics aren't even that difficult, and being a short song not too hard to remember or to keep going And if the PA actually played it everyone would soon learn. 

 

And there's also plenty of versions on YouTube, take your pick, fast, slow, jazzy, the Louis Prima version is rather dapper!  Just not the Jersey Budd version. He ****ing crucified it!

It has to be this. I’ve said it before and was going to post the same video. This would sound brilliant with the whole ground singing it before kickoff, it’s easy to learn and the words are so fitting to us as a club and the title success.

I've always felt if I Only Want To Be With You caught on, we should play the song for people to join in.

 

Anthems need to be played before kick off/as the teams come out, as at West Ham/Leeds etc, and I know people love Post Horn Gallop but it just slows everything down. We do not play anything to get people going.
