Stadt Posted 10 March 2022 Posted 10 March 2022 We really struggle to play centrally, Rodgers need to coach them to stop going wide so often

eastendfox Posted 10 March 2022 Posted 10 March 2022 Just not been quite creative enough, otherwise we've been good.

Watch the gap between the forward line and our midfielders. Ndidi’s position is too deep, Tielemans is always far too close to him and KDH plays quite wide. In a 433 we give the striker nothing. It’s especially concerning when both Vardy and Daka aren’t suited to dropping deep. 2

It shouldn't take world class movement off the ball for us to find a striker. Daka and Nacho have been living off absolute scraps for months. 3

daddylonglegs Posted 10 March 2022 Posted 10 March 2022 Start Kelechi, bring on Daka. So much room in behind he could exploit. Is that too simplistic of me? 2

It's why Madders completely changes the team when he comes in and why we desperately need to get both Nacho AND Daka in the system. It's also why Perez is still probably our best right wing option, because he actually plays like a "wide" 10 more than an actually RW, which both creates room for the overlapping full back and gives the 9 support. With Sharky and Barnes and the deeper CMs Daka is totally isolated.
