This but Justin in at left back and possibly swap castagne to the right back depending on form and fitness.

...surprised there is not a greater apprehension about facing Madueke, as we were so devastated when he chose to extend his contract last year!!!

This would be a good chance to view if he could be the missing piece of our jigsaw.

Should he have a great game, there will be a clamour to bring him in, our a poor night for him, may just see us looking elsewhere.

If he starts, then Castagne will be up against him, and he is great on a one on one basis with attackers.

So long as they have issues defensively, we just need to make better decisions in the last third to effectively put this tie to bed. It has always being our problem and it looks like we won't be resolving it with our present personnel, we tend to make poor decisions when we have the numbers on the counter.

This but I’d have Cags back in for fofana for this one. Save Wes for the weekend.

Save Wes for a meaningless match?

I think with the current crisis in Europe nobody should be nasty to anyone else unless provoked.

isn’t in the best form lately (actually started on bench most of the last few games). Tend to be a real ‘moment’ footballer. Can score amazing goals or put a amazing dribble now and then but refuses to helps defense/control the game therefore the manager wasn’t too happy with him and choose Doan over him. I reckon he play tho tonight but prob subbed around 60/70 as his fitness level isn’t the best either.. I don’t think he is ready for the next step at all and prob needs atleast a year more in Eindhoven before his next step. In the PL he will be injured within 2 weeks the way he plays.

I can’t go because I’ve got COVID.

:nigel:

Did you know the covid backwards is DIVOC (Origi) he won Liverpool the Champions League and he's dog shit, so you can surely make an effort for only the 2nd European quarter final in the clubs history. 😉

Good trivia.

Yeah, to be fair, I have been more than tempted, but I’m not sure infecting the rest of my block will go down too well.

Weird how Barnes has looked crap again these last 2 games. Big game for him tonight.

I thought Barnes was one of our best players at Old Trafford. End product wasn’t there but he made Dalot look silly at times.

Barnes was brilliant on Saturday IMO.

Wait, they don't actually stay at the Novotel surely?

Work almost next door - lots of Dutch fans around this morning.

Yeah teams seem to now go here rather than the Marriott at Fosse Park.
