He never looked comfortable, making an early error with the ball at his feet and, once the first goal went under an arm, his day was not going to get any better. The goalkeeper has enjoyed an impressive career but a lack of regular football has affected him, leaving his reactions slow and confidence short. It cannot have helped the Wales international that his own supporters booed him and then sarcastically applauded when he did manage a simple save or to intercept an aimless ball over the top. Supporters have a right to express their views on the team’s performance but it must have hurt Ward to suffer such targeted criticism from those supposedly hoping he would save the next shot. He performed poorly, but there needs to be some recognition that footballers are human beings. Instantly recognisable as The Guardian 3

The second goal is firstly on Justin for letting the ball go straight past him despite knowing there's a Wolves player in the vicinity and then on Ward's hilarious attempt to stop it. Who gives a **** if someone called for it. Just take ownership and clear the ball. Also, was it Ayew wandering back leaving the wolves man out wide on his own? That team was/is slow, ageing, lacking in physicality, without a plan, not hard working. 1

We were only just good enough to play it in the championship with Ricardo we cannot afford to do it in the Prem. We need a 4 that can defend - like the year we won the league. We current do not have two full backs that can defend so they are the first players i would get in Jan. CB's we SHOULD be ok with if they just do the basics. But we won't we will keep trying the same old like everyone else in the league. I agree on the fullbacks. I’m not convinced by either Vestergaard or Coady either in a solid defensive system. I wonder if we’d be better going to a three centre back model, two holding CDMs. Tuck the two wing backs in tight and then counter with a pacy forward with long counter attacking. You’d protect the goal more, it would be ugly and on par with Stoke and Wimbledon.

I hope he's gone into Ruud's office this morning and told him that he isn't qualified for the job and would like to request a transfer. But he won't. He'll pick up his £40k and forget about it. Just as he has done for the last 6 years. Our club is in this mess because we're not ruthless. Get rid of these absolute jokers otherwise standards will never improve. If I turned up for work and consistently chucked it in, do you think anyone would feel sorry for me if I got the boot? Why is it different for these multi-millionaire footballers? Just get rid of him and all the other jokers that have no ambition in the game. They don't care and it's as simple as that. 11
Guest Lako42 Posted 23 December 2024 Posted 23 December 2024 Everybody needs to put their anti Ward energy into the real issue and actually start calling out the utter ****tard who's responsible for him still being here.

When we are at the stage that we are having a not-entirely-unserious discussion about whether we'd be better off having an outfield player in for 45 minutes of Premier League football than a supposedly specialist goalkeeper who cost us £12,000,000 and is costing £40,000 a week, it's difficult to fathom how the person who signed off on those decisions is even allowed to run the team bath.

420Hashish Posted 23 December 2024 Posted 23 December 2024 I just watched the goals for the first time and what the actual fack is this trench doing?
when_you're_smiling Posted 23 December 2024 Posted 23 December 2024 (edited) Brilliantly ironic that fans that say it’s their right to boo whoever and whenever they want, then get upset at the slightest bit of criticism for doing that. Edited 23 December 2024 by when_you're_smiling 2

ithuriel Posted 23 December 2024 Posted 23 December 2024 Imagine this donkey being in goal for the next three matches, be like a complete rerun of the relegation season and would not be long before players started having a go at him on the pitch again, hopefully RVN has some sense and ditches the clown.

There are people on here who defend Rudkin from time to time. The one point they do make, which I agree with, is that while he is awful at most aspects of his job, he seems to act without accountability and wears a number of hats - which is the fault of those above him. In other words, he's getting away with being awful. Perhaps Rudkin actually genuinely believes he's doing a grand job - because no one within the business seems to challenge him. It's a bizarre situation.

Take him out of the day-to-day running of the clubs but make him feel like he's been promoted.

henry56 Posted 23 December 2024 Posted 23 December 2024 It was the same 2 seasons ago . The clown stands outside his posts and basically says to the forward - there’s the empty goal , help yourself . Time and time again .
