First half lead was tenuous at times, but Gooch should've made it 3-1 on the stroke of HT.

Like you say, second half we were excellent. Defended the box and the back post brilliantly and always looked a threat going forward. Alex Dean was very composed at CB, and Putnam keeps delivering at both ends of the pitch.

Keeper scares the shit out of me, but if we keep averaging nearly 4 a game away from home it shouldn't cost us!

We really are a 2nd half team

Four wins out of four for Boro, sitting second right behind Coalville. Fantastic start to the season. Won today 2-1 at Redditch United after coming from 0-1 down and scoring a late winner in the 92nd minute. Have to say the atmosphere around the ground had a nasty tone, a couple of fights broke out amongst supporters through the game and extremely offensive chanting from the home support. In fact one racist chant! Reading the programme itself according to Redditch this has been ongoing problem as apparently there was reports of racist chanting during the Stratford game they had at home. Have to say this was my second visit to Redditch with the Boro and both occasions there has been hostility. Should mention there was a few rough looking extra Nuneaton folk who tagged along I think who came to provoke trouble also, who don't usually turn up. Only when they know there's trouble expected.

Wrexham documentary isn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Only two episodes but does really well to outline how precarious it is for footballers and managers at that level

Where can we see it?

There was violence at Banbury and a racial slur at Atherstone today, which resulted in the culprit being ejected and banned for life. The problem of violent and racist scumbags attending non-league football does seem to be on the increase.

Great start to the season for Nuneaton. Not many would've seen that coming. The Hednesford management team resigned tonight, so it might make Monday's game that little bit more intriguing.

Banbury been having issues for the last twelve months. With their success they’ve been attracting idiots. Atherstone has always had some utter trash supporting them.

Halesowen decided a couple of weeks ago to introduce a membership scheme for unaccompanied kids. They also had to release a statement this week because their players were taking so much direct stick on social media

Imagine if City released a similar statement. The ground would be half full for the next league game!

It's a good response from Halesowen and better than the blanket ban Walsall Wood enforced on unaccompanied minors after the trouble they had at games.

Banbury actually made a complaint about Coalville when we played them down at Owen Street because our fans were 'intimidating'.

Banbury were terrible at Alvechurch but you’d give them benefit of doubt on NYD that a load of tag-alongs come along. Their derby v Brackley is going to be madness as neither ground is built for big awau followings. That lack of organisation at step 2 below is often where clubs understandably lack.

speaking to a Halesowen mate yesterday, the two owners made themselves very publicly available to chat with yesterday about what they are doing. World away from the pro game

Darlo player Adriano Moke was abused apparantly at Spennymoor as well.

Banbury went from getting gates of 300 to nearly 900 a week. Sadly from what I've heard some of the newbie supporters turning up, have just been going to cause trouble. Sadly I'm not sure if it's just a football issue but more anti social behaviour problem we have been having in this country of late. Probably time will come where certain level of non league clubs have automatically segregate games each week. Which again will mean clubs losing out on money.

Atherstone have been so much trouble over the years with crowd issues, even manager's have decided to walk away from the club cause of it.

Another brick wall at Owen Street. Royston and Basford have now somehow taken 4 pts from us despite spending the majority of the games defending the edge of their boxes with 10 men, clearing shots off the line and somehow not conceding 4 or 5 goals lol

Gotta praise their resilience and defensive work. No complaints from a Coalville perspective though. We did plenty but just couldn't find a way through.

Annoying but we go again vs Shepshed.

Went down today and really enjoyed it despite the result.

Would you say it was a case of players at that level struggling with the fitness, having played Saturday?

Just felt like a scrappy game where Coalville couldn't get any rhythm but were the better side overall.

I thought Coalville were miles off it for the 1st 70 minutes or so. Still should of came away with at least a point though.

Basford came to spoil. Time wasting from the off and constantly fouling made for a scrappy game. Which resulted in Coalville struggling to get into any rhythm.

Disappointing result but still a good start to the season.

Agree with this. We deserved a point for the last 20 minutes onslaught, but ultimately we couldn't complain too much.

Basford were bang average. They won't be troubling the top 5.

Good 2-0 win for Loughborough in the "Dynamo Derby" against Shepshed, 4 wins, 10 goals and 4 clean sheets since the opening day loss to Boldmere, looking decent

Newly promoted Harborough Town not doing too badly either.
Lost their first 2 against strong sides (Halesowen & Stamford), but just won 3 on the spin (one was a 9-1 v Yaxley).

Up to seventh. FA Cup this Saturday against a lower ranked side.
