I think the two worst meals were cauliflower cheese, and liver n onions. Even now I couldn't really eat cauliflower cheese, and would find it hard to eat liver.

I remember I didn't like most vegetables (apart from peas and carrots), but happily eat veg now.

Also the devils food that is Salmon.  Hated it then and hate it now.  Even the smell makes me feel nauseous.

Fish. Anything involving fish.

Still can't eat it now.

Peanut butter.

Coffee.

Still can’t stand them now, it’s the smell, I don’t think I’ve ever got as far as taste.

I’ll eat anything else.

The fccccck.... this isn't the "What's your favourite flavour and drink" thread

If we're going for what made you actually wretch/vomit, tinned fish. Even now, if I had to eat tinned tuna and not throw up, I think I'd struggle. Fresh tuna (grilled or whatever) I'm ok with

Love 'em. Can't stand uncooked fresh tomatoes but when they're tinned they're glorious

My old man loves pickled beetroot. Grows it and pickles it himself. As a kid I really didn't like it but I think it was more a texture thing than anything else.

Now I feel like I've really made him proud. A mature cheddar and pickled beetroot sandwich is right up there with the greatest of all time IMO. Sensational.

I can't really name a food I've actually ever hated TBH. Not a big fan of goat's cheese but that's about it.

I still haven't forgiven Jamie bloody Oliver for that

You tried the remade ones they released last year? Vile imitations of their former glory.

Nah, seen them in shops but I knew it wouldn't be the same thing. Don't they only come in tomato sauce flavour? The originals were just puuuure turkey fat, mechanically reclaimed deliciousness and about 30g salt. No need for any tomato

There was 2 different flavours I think. A tomato one and some sort of chilli one. Both were awful. Not even sure if they are still selling them but I wouldn't bother.

Used to hate melted cheddar for some reason. Which is weird for a kid. And for that reason I didn't like lasagne. The worst was one time when my mum made salmon lasagne. God that was bad.

also, honey or jam sandwiches * shudder *

School cheese pie.

Forgot about that one. Add it to the Cauliflowe cheese torture list. I think I must have been allergic to cooked cheese. Took me a long time before I could even try pizza.

Liver was my most hated food as a youngster. Obviously it’s cheap and as a kid growing up my parents were often skint and liver was served up plenty, as was corned beef hash which I wasn’t keen on either. Anyway I went thirty years without touching liver up and till recently when, after watching some cooking programme late one night, I realised it wasn’t supposed to be fried for about half hour like my mum used to cook it and it is actually best served pink.  Next day I broke the bank and spent 90p on a few slices of lambs liver which I lightly fried for lunch and had with a few onions. Wow.  I was gobsmacked just how nice it was.
