One player I feel sorry for Steph Houghton, brilliant England player and captain. Must be happy but also upset to have missed out.

I did think this earlier, guess sentiment rarely wins a team major tournaments though

I thought about this too, but the manager made big calls that have proven to be right.

She also made someone captain after they'd only played about 7 games.

Serina Weigman has some boll*cks.

Fair play to her.

They had a plan for every eventuality. She's a tremendous coach and deserves all the credit coming her way!

In all seriousness, how far away are from her and Emma Hayes managing in the men's game?

If they can make plans to forsee all eventualities, I would be all for it.

There is a female coach managing in non league for Peckham Town. But EFL i reckon, within the next season after today.

Serina is everything you want in an international coach, everything she's done as worked. Best think Neville did was resigning.

Neville was such an uninspired job for the boys choice. Thankfully someone thought about it and got the right person in. She’s a fantastic coach.

There was a TV drama in the late 80's? Called The Manageress that explored the idea. I think it had Cherie Lunghi in it.

Would male players give them the respect though?

If you're Weigman, you'd demand it.

Seen that, think you would but think it depends on the egos in the dressing room.

This is what I’m saying! Yeah we know there’s been a stigma, but we are surely past that now? These moments don’t come around often at all, savour it and be angry tomorrow instead

Easy for us to say. She probably has loads of built up anger and emotion.
