As the title says. Did we miss a trick or dodge a bullet?? I know West Ham weren't very happy about this and unless I've missed something then I'm surprised this hasn't hit Foxes Talk as yet, unless it's been compartmentalised or something! ;)

Discussed at some length in the transfer forum.

Does this really deserve its own thread?

Good for them. Lingard is a talented guy who can play exceptionally well at times. He also comes across as a bit of an arsehole, a maverick and a very temperamental talent.

I think it's worth the gamble for them in a way it might not be for more established teams. My worry would be that it's a completely no risk deal for him. He's hardly challenging himself or putting himself in any jeopardy. He'll walk out if they go down and onto the next mugs who'll pay him ridiculous wages.

....I think Lingard is a good player, good to think he has gone to a club where he can enjoy his game!!!

Too much pressure at United, big success at West Ham, came back to United and never got a look in. I would have loved him here, he is a livewire and he will suit Forest and bring a lot of experience at the sharp end.

It is all very well being at United, it really has held him back, and the money he was on would have been difficult to walk away from, but the money is not everything, sitting on the bench and having your bank balance overflowing is nothing compared to being happy in what you are doing.

I love how a year ago we were laughing that there's a whole thread on Leicester being so successful on their forum and now we've got one on who they're ****ing signing for fuchs sake. Let's concentrate on us.

People seem to be obsessed with Forest recently. Every time I open any thread I feel like it's all that's being discussed. Getting so tired of it. (I get this is a thread specifically about them)
