why should some newbie fan, probably not even paying for their ticket, get to enter a shirt `raffle` when proper fans with up to 50 years of travelling at great persomal expense (and previously a high risk of being assualted) are socially excluded from entering.

FFS, the shirt wont even fit half these kids. EBay bound

It might well put unwanted pressure on players too. It is one thing being verbally abused by hundreds of grown men but being guilted out at every throw in or having to choose between competing cute brats might be distracting.

Imagine doing your job if everytime you go outside with the rubbish 10 little pretend orphans beg you for food.

Clubs banning players from giving kit away pitchside takes any pressure away, clubs could have a matchday raffle or competition for shirts if they wish.

There's a kid at the school my wife works at, and she's had countless shirts and brings them in to brag to the other kids. But it's her parents that really push for it which is weird.

I know of 12 shirts she's had when other kids haven't even had a glace.

I understand banning it because it's not fair on other kids/people who don't do it

What are they going to do? Get a steward to pat down a 6 year old at the turnstiles searching for pieces of paper or cardboard? Then rip it out a child’s hands if they see one?

They probably would once ripped up they will set it alight in-front of a sobbing Child !

If a kid wants to ask and a player is OK to give a shirt then where's the problem?  I think it presents a nice moment of personal interaction between fans and players - something that there isn't enough of imo.

It'll be too small for you.

With too many kids doing it, it should be decided fairly really. Snap a pool cue in half throw the pointy end into the baying mob of micro beggars and whichever kid comes out on top, gets the shirt. It's the only fair way I can see.

It is an odd one because it does, on the one hand, bug me yet I know it oughtn't. I think it puts players in an awkward position because they look like right cvnts if they don't acquiesce yet I genuinely don't feel they can be expected to. I honestly don't like them being being put in that position.

Print 'MADDISON CAN I HAVE YOUR SHIRT' on the clappers and then throw the whole lot into the Soar along with the children, their parents and Dennis Wise.

I wasn't with you until you mentioned that name, which I can't even bring myself to say. Still.

Another option is swappsies, fans could hold up a picture of the toaster or vintage Tommy English shirt they have brought along

Man, I like your style. A kind of active, after match bartering session. I could go for that.

Simple - we drown the kids out with ridiculous signs.

"Vardy, can I have your socks?"

"Madders, can I have your hairband?"

"Evans, can I have one white, two sugars?"

Physically drowning all kids would be more effective imo
