I’m sorry but I’d rather that £150,000+ money worth of beer go towards something more meaningful like transfer fees. I thought we had no money left yet can give out free beer like it’s nothing.

The beers are being paid for by Top, not the club. You could argue Top could put some of his own money into the club to help fund new signings etc but he is a business man and is making sure the business (LCFC) is sustainable and is able to comply with ridiculous new ffp rules coming into play from next season.

If any adult is going to take the bottle of water instead of a beer, let me know.

I'll bring you a bottle of water, sealed, of course, from my Amazon depot and I'll have your beer lol

I've listened to enough true crime podcasts to know this is a bad idea 😂

The frictionless kiosks are genius, everyone was queueing to get in there, I walked up to a normal kiosk and got served immediately lol

Top is now sat in the boardroom, wondering how 30000 people drank 50000 beers.

He's looking at Susan saying "why didn't the hand stamps work?" lol

Ridiculous not allowing soft drinks into the ground only water. They can **** off I they think I am paying £2.95 for the same drink. I feel like I am at the airport. Throw away then oh yes please rebuy once through.

They made an announcement over the tannoy...you can take soft drinks in to the stadium as long as they haven't been opened.

Fair enough.

There were 2 people in front of me at the turnstile crying, speaking to everyone possible around them "they give you a free drink but you can't take it in"

Read the email sent over a week ago. Not hard is it?

Some people are so ungrateful.

The football however...

The stewards didn't let anyone take unopened drinks into the stadium, even he said it was a piss take but that was the rules. As for the free drinks I don't like beer & hate water so took my own.

Steward in our part said they'd allow empty bottles, but no filled ones. So the choice is water from the toilet taps into empty bottles, or £2.60 LCFC water. However, the clubs website says:

Quote

7 The following articles must not be brought within the Ground – Illegal Substances, knives,
fireworks, smoke canisters, air-horns, flares, weapons, dangerous or hazardous items, laser
devices, bottles, glass vessels, cans, poles and any article that might be used as a weapon
and/or compromise public safety. Any person in possession of such items will be refused entry
to the Ground.

So I assume that means they can ban empty bottles too?

However, you know what doesn't come in a bottle, glass vessel or can?

You lose, LCFC.

Strange. And contrary to the announcement.

My step daughter was allowed in with an unopened bottle of Coke.

So just consistency would be nice.

This has been the case for years. Think I managed 5 v Doncaster.  2 of which I even managed to get into the ground. And just place behind a flag at the back of sk1 and drink during the 1st half.

Would.love to know how many they got through pre Everton, probably the earliest I've ever been at a ground and rattled through loads. Dead handy having more than 1 sesson ticket as well just grab 3 at a time and rinse, wipe, repeat 😆

So ungrateful to be treated like away fans at home

Everytime I see someone criticise on here it's just labelled as "ungrateful".
