So even if the club was sold how does that fix the ffp problem we have? The new owners still would have there hands tied

If you have the dosh to stick into the club via issuing new shares and sponsorship deals you can ‘influence’ then there are plenty of ways around the circle ….

Surely the person in question wouldn't jeopardize his position at the club by blabbing highly confidential information in a packed pub though? He ain't that daft.

In the eventuality of a sale, what do you all think we could be valued at? Would we go as far to say a billion quid?

No where near, 400 mill?

the amounts we’re speaking about here on losses isn’t significant on the sale of a PL football club

the monies to be made when PL streaming takes over will be enormous - putting a clubs PL future at risk in order to show a small profit as opposed to a £30m loss would be considered more of an issue

More money in Tops pocket though if there is less debt for the new owners to take on. With KP struggling a bit they will want everything they can get.

He’s always at it.

They brought us for 40 million and have put in 200 or so million since they've been here so anything over 400 million would be considered a huge success for them.

Arguably up until the pandemic having them sponsor our shirts raised the profile of KP and brought in loads of cash too.

I guess until a reputable media source puts a story out (Percy etc) it will stay as speculation on a fans forum. Painful, as it seems we are waiting to be put out of our misery (or not) about the club’s future. It is the weirdest summer I can recall as a Leicester fan, just a diet of negativity and no signings with people speculating about the clubs financial position. In the past it’s been obvious when we have been skint, this time it’s smoke and mirrors. Let’s hope by May 2023 we can look back and think what was we all worried about , or more likely looking out for the championship fixtures release date.

A club legend and employee was pissed in the Woodies in Rothley saying we’re up for sale over the weekend.

Who is that mate?

They would be looking for 500m I think

but they would probably have to accept nearer 400m

the longer they leave it, if the results don’t improve then that price only goes in one direction ….

all predicated on them actually wanting to sell

Was just wondering. I don’t know to be honest.

£475 as much as I've seen on the top 20 lists (including infrastructure)

Like with anything though. Throw in Stadia expansion ticket, prize money including media revenue increases I.e. streaming etc. Global reach for advertising. Household name footballers. Ambassador Lineker fronting MOTD etc.

I guess £1 billion wouldn't be stretch at all to be honest. But what do I know.

Have you noticed the events of this transfer window !

Yes, we've sold one player and lost one 35 year old goalkeeper who we valued at barely £1m. So at worst, what, that valuation is likely down to about £450m for just the playing squad? Value of the stadium is approx. £30m, then there's the training ground which is most certainly valued at >£100m. Last accounts show there was £50m in the bank, and we've just made another £70m in player sales.

Cost would probably be north of £550m-£600m.

This was heard on a previous weekend.

I have also heard this, but on a football based forum
