Fofana training with Under 21s after failing to turn up to a training session

Why is admitting Wes has a temperament issue handling the issue well? Surely just saying he's training with the U23's until the matter is resolved is good enough. We are now in a situation where our fan base think he is a ***t based on info given by Brendan in interviews. If Fofana was to stay, which is still very possible, then how does the lad get reintegrated with the majority of our fanbase hating him.

We don't know the full facts and we don't know how anyone is really behaving. Snippets like this just make the situation worse. Sometimes its just best to keep your mouth shut?

BR chooses his words very carefully, he is an Ulsterman and a politician after all. I wouldn't like to interpret his full meaning but you can be rest assured he thinks Fofana is a juvenile p****k.

I've never understood the vitriol towards him TBH.  Hard to imagine a guy finessing the process of moving to a bigger club any better than he did.

not sure why anyone hates him either. He's obviously been horribly overrated for a while and its finally becoming a reality now.

Having said that, it's not his fault United decided to spend the best part of £100m on his services for 5 years or whatever.

Its not just based on BR's comments is it though, no one is basing it solely on that.

For example he missed a training session, thats a fact from various sources, not something we are just believing because only Rodgers told us

This lad was still in ****ing junior school when I was relegated to League 1.

I’ve been places. I’ve seen things the human eye shouldn’t have to (like the shîtters in Hereford’s away end).

If he can’t “get himself up” to play for me now I’m a well-established premier league team, then I’ll boo the cûnt all day long.

Brilliant.   Absolutely brilliant.  Having lived in Herefordshire for a good while previously have immediately forwarded to all my Herefordian mates.

As far as i am aware, all sources link back to 2 Brendan interviews. I am not aware of where this has come out apart from those. Happy to stand corrected of course.

I don't think anyone hates him. The majority of comments about him were always about how overrated he is. He was decent for us but our midfield was a class above ManU's back then and our other main CB was helping him being better than he actually is.

I still can’t believe the way Fofana is behaving. We all know deep down that eventually he will leave, that’s inevitable, but he was happy to sign the 5 year contract and also spoke so highly of us being ‘family’ yet his true colours show as soon as a big club comes sniffing. He will eventually get his big move but he needs to understand that Leicester won’t just give in because his heads turned. Until an agreement between clubs are met he needs to sit the fvck down and start acting like a professional instead of being a brat.

I had a lot of respect for Wes. Now I couldn’t give a toss about him and I’m glad the club have stuck to their guns.

Probably is a prime example of how precarious this situation is, it could go either way really, so many things could go wrong, it's just guessing which bit goes wrong lol

Absolutely. Who knows how much Chelsea have actually truthfully offered us or even Everton for Gordon. I'm sure they'd have them both if they could get them on the cheap,  but of course, the players themselves will just see that a 'big club' wanted them and not the possibility of game playing.

If he stays there will of course be potential issues. Another reason perhaps why a new manager, not seen to have been involved,  may get a different tune out of him. Half an arm around the shoulder but also a wise realistic head who can persuade him that it's a possibility that he's just been used and that commanding performances this season in a Leicester City shirt can only serve to get Chelsea and better clubs absolutely chomping at the bit to buy him. Sullen behaviour, refusal to play or half hearted performances would only serve to get him ignored by the very top clubs.

It's not only Fofana. It's a whole generation of young footballers that are uneducated, arrogant and they only care about their pockets and social media.

Wait, was Maguire the good guy all along???

Let not dampen a good history,with hate/dislike…

Maguire was a model professional and right to him leaving,he performed &

didnt sink the boat or canoe with tantrums..

He was from some corners underrated on this forum, but a tadge overrated from

others, when he wore the Manutd shirt. He’s a decent England International & performs well for country…but he has his Amartey moments in the red shirt…

keeping to Fofana…his agent isnt doing him any favours, Fofana now will be

tagged twice as tantrum-Wes.  Due to his actions and attitude in his first two

proffesional transfer moves…questions mental strength & character under self responsibility, can he play under pressure…

Though Chelsea can afford flops…they have had a few water carrier players,

who dropped their career bottle while at Chelsea…

Teams like Chelsea,can pick 6 players,3-4 fail who’s bothered ,2 become names.

Leicester,A.Villa,Forest havent that luxury, Everton , W.Ham. believe they have…

Fofana, I wouldn’t boo,we need 11 badges performing and yes encouraging.

stupid to cut off your own nose to spite your face…If after 3-5 games he is still

adrift in his thoughts & performance….

1’ the older  players will say enough is enough.!

2) the fans would have the right to show their views

** but for now when selected, say ok big failure made, but you have a 2nd chance

to honour the badge…young lad who didn’t have clever people consulting him!!

dont boo the lad first up,your boos might be taken out of context teamwise..

& mis-used by media, and not forgetting ruin a lads self-belief,while playing one of the games key-positions…The boos can easily lose the games, and the team..

I suspect the way Chelsea have just slightly increased each bid, are they checking on the temperament of Fontana to see how he reacts under pressure ?. His reaction and his actions to date will not have impressed any employer who is tempted to invest nearly £100 million on a new asset.

They would be aware of the possibility anyway with his move to us

To say I've been an open critic of Rodgers is a polite understatement but I have to back his stance here to be honest.

Yes, although he doesn't really have much other choice does he?

Needs to play against Chelsea, it's a win win. If he's superb, they'll probably cough up the asking price. If he's crap and we get absolutely stuffed, Rodgers is a bit nearer the exit!

Getting stuffed isn't a win.

For the Nth time, he literally did the same thing to St Etienne. How can people be this naive.

Yeah but that don't matter to most he was coming to us.

New story he's leaving us and it's a bad attitude.

Anyone being realistic could see this happening a mile off. No point getting upset, get our price and feck him off.

I'd rather we play with 10 men than give him game time atm.
