    • Before Forest
    • Anytime after Forest
    • Never - he stays forever and you should see a doctor urgently

I wouldn't be surprised if talks with a projected replacement had already started. We certainly got Rodgers in fairly quickly after sacking Puel.

I personally think he'll get another couple of games and be gone before Brighton.

The club will hang on to him for as long as they can and for a lot longer than would be considered reasonable.

I can see him doing the season. The club really don't want to be spending any more money than they already are.

If he can get us to mid table by November I think he'll stay. Depends on the games before the World Cup- if we are bottom three I think he'll go.

why isn’t there an option for after we lose to newport again? That’s the only fair way we can see if we’ve made progress since Puel

...he will never quit, too much money to lose!!!

eh, it's a lot of money to give up. But, much as this forum might disagree, Rodgers is not an idiot. He's a very canny bloke. There's a reason he came here in the first place - he was a laughing stock when he left Liverpool, not in the conversation for the top jobs (Mourinho had just been sacked 2 months earlier at Man Utd and his name was nowhere near it). He came here to rebuild his reputation and get into discussion for the top jobs. He gets sacked from us in the bottom three? That reputation is in tatters still. He quits, citing a lack of ambition? Reputation protected to a degree. Everything he's doing at the moment, the Mourinho-esque blame game and excuses wheel, is designed to protect his reputation because he knows the pressure is really on him.

...he has no need to protect his reputation,  the media will do that for him!!!

From every angle you care to look, it will be, we failed to back him with funds and there is nothing that he could have done to improve us.

I went for after Forest because I genuinely think they'll give him til as far as the World Cup break. That's, what, 3-4 weeks of being able to get a manager in with a transfer window plan?

Don't agree with a sweep for this but I think you could be spot on with this and would make sense...sort of :scarf:

He's getting the same chants of out, the same as them. As per last night's away supporters chants.

I was there. It wasn't all the away end. And some people only carried it on because Stockport started it.

Interesting to see how poeple on social media comment as if our end just started it.

Social media can be a very good thing or a very bad thing.

The amount of crap being spouted to persuade people that something is ‘fact’ when it isn’t is becoming quite overwhelming. You just don’t know who, or what, to believe anymore.

And the amount of time that people spend on social media these days is quite astounding.

It’s having an impact on society, no doubt about it. I know it’s a tentative correlation but the suicide rate in this country is ridiculously high at present. Probably due to the Ill effects of covid on people financially. But I’m sure social media is likely playing some part too.

I’m guilty of it too and it aggravates me actually. I find myself posting on the match thread when I really should just be watching the game and then post afterwards. It’s addictive I’m afraid.

I think it will be after Forest. Should be earlier. I think we go into the Forest game with 2 points. That becomes the make or break fixture for him. He’ll line us up with a high line, let them sit back and counter us. We’ll dominate possession and they will win 2-0. Brendan leaves the week after as “Poor Brendan”. He’ll probably make Tielemans captain for that game even though he has signed for Arsenal.

So why join in if they did not mean it? Come on face it the vast majority of city fans now want him gone, just like Pleat and Taylor.

I feel it’s unfair just to blame Rodger’s but  something has definitely changed in the team. Who knows what’s actually happening regarding the day to day running of the club and finances.

If he lasts 10 games I’ll be surprised.

I'm not saying people don't want him gone. But why are you associating him with two of our worse managers of all time? Rodgers' name is nowhere near them. People want him gone but he will be looked back upon fondly considering he delivered us the FA Cup which no other previous manager could do.

The game against Stockport highlights to me why he is 100% to blame. The whole match we played Brendan ball. He cannot, and will not, change from his philosophy, even for League 2 opposition the the league cup.  Problem is, Brendan ball is so easy to defend if you know its what you are going to get. All the opposition have to hope for is that Madders or KDH don't score a worldie from outside the box, and the more these players have their confidence zapped away from them, the less likely they are going to score worldies.

Anytime after Forest (late in the evening 3rd of October) where the atmosphere will be toxiCITY personified after Forest score their 2nd goal from a fcuking corner. I think it will be as late as the Forest game because I've factored in 1 win with an own goal by the opposition in the meantime (maybe Chelsea to help push the Fofana transfer over the line).

You can blame him for tactics and team selection but the day to day running of the club, transfers and money available isn’t really his problem. But it will all built towards him getting sacked at some point.
