Corky Posted 8 May 2023 Posted 8 May 2023 Scenes when us, Leeds and Forest lose all their matches and Southampton manage 7 points. 3

I really question it. Absolutely not!! Never been so sure and have said it for the last week, if by some miracle it goes to West Ham the cowards will buckle, Jesus if only we need is not to loose by 5 goals the worms would get beat 6.1, I can’t stand this team at the minute
FrankieADZ Posted 8 May 2023 Posted 8 May 2023 think after todays results(suspect Forest will win too) it will knock the stuffing out mentally, be surprised if we even manage a point in the last 3 games now 1
Corky Posted 8 May 2023 Posted 8 May 2023 Surviving on goal difference because everyone lost their last four games would be the worst and yet most memorable survival ever. We should both be utterly ashamed and tempted to invade the pitch.
RowlattsFox Posted 8 May 2023 Posted 8 May 2023 If results go the way of the form book then we should Still have a chance going into the last day. Could even still be 4th bottom if Forest lose tonight. Leeds have the toughest game on the last day to get a result. Being 4th bottom going into the last day will be big.
Popular Post smudger63 Posted 8 May 2023 Popular Post Posted 8 May 2023 Well i think we can pretty much rule Everton out of finishing in the bottom 3. They will beat Bournemouth at home last game, and that will give them 35 points, which will be enough. They will probably takes something from Wolves too. So it`s now going to be three from four. Notts Forest play their trump card tonight, win and they might already have enough, but will probably need a point at Palace last game, which wont be a forgone conclusion. If they lose to Southampton, it brings Southampton back into contention. Sadly i dont think this going to end well for us though either way. For me as a fan, it wont be so much that we have been relegated that will be the biggest disappointment, it will be the feeling of being let down, by those running the club, for their ineptitude, and for thinking they could get away with standing still in the premier league for a season, and for not making decisive decisions that were obvious to everyone else but themselves, and for blowing arguably the best chance the club has had, for it to become a consistent top 10 club in the top flight, over many years to come. I feel let down by the players too, who for many it seems, simply dont care, because some know they wont be here next season, and others have no intention of being here next season, and that is how they have played for the most part, especially since we started up again after the world cup. Worse still is, as the last few weeks have gone on, the more some of those players have seemed to have their head into next season, and where they will move too, rather than keeping their focus and head in this season until its ended. Finally i feel let down by Rodgers, who set the tone from day one of pre season for this shambles of a season, with his throwing his toys out of the pram negativity, with his constant bad mouthing of players he was picking and going to have to pick at some point, suggesting in public that they wasnt good enough. For his blaming the fans for our shite debacle at Brighton, suggesting we were making the players nervous. For only making one sub in the opening game with Brentford, on a scorching hot day, while Brentford made 5 early ones and got a draw, and could have ended up winning. For his stubborn reluctance to give Iverson a chance pre world cup, after the Tottenham or Brighton drubbings, so we could bring in a keeper in january if we felt he wasnt up to it. For his ridiculous decision, to not put personal differences aside, and play Soyuncu when he should have. So, if/when we are relegated, it wont be so much disappointment i will feel, it will be an anger and a feeling that the whole club from board, managers and players have let me, and the rest of our fans down! I doubt if they will, but i hope they will feel rightfully ashamed! 10

Todays debacle was as much about us putting points on the board as it was putting pressure on our rivals. Bottling it in the way we did would have given Everton and Forest one hell of a boost going into their games today, and lo and behold Everton go and put 5 past Brighton. Just shambolic in every way. 1
RowlattsFox Posted 8 May 2023 Posted 8 May 2023 I think I'd rather us be down before the final day. Can't be arsed drumming some last minute hope that we'll survive.
Cadno'r Cymoedd Posted 8 May 2023 Posted 8 May 2023 Top has to take ultimate responsibility here. People can say he has a lot to deal with elsewhere. But that's an explanation not an excuse. If you are not committed to being the owner and making the right calls when it was clear to all what the issues were, then you're at fault. 4

FrankieADZ Posted 8 May 2023 Posted 8 May 2023 we dropped 6 points to Southampton, ****ing criminal, actually hating football right now
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 8 May 2023 Posted 8 May 2023 Deserved. Players deserve the massive pay cuts they get it they stay or if they leave. DOF deserves the terminal damage this does to his reputation. Owners deserve the financial hit for not pulling the trigger earlier. 4

I have no optimism for the club as long as Top is there. Sad but true 3
kingcarr21 Posted 8 May 2023 Posted 8 May 2023 We could literally have Forest and Coventry in the prem next season and us in the championship. We would deserve to be the laughing stock of the Midlands. Even more so than Derby 4
