Alex Scott? He prefers a central position but can also play on the wing

Would love it pal, he could develop in to a monster of a player.

Would be a perfect signing for us. He was fantastic on Saturday, playing as part of a front 3, as they beat West Brom 3-0.

Don't think it'll be happening in this window though. Shame, because it'd royally piss off my other half's family

Also if we can't shift any of our shit players how many will we need to not register to be able to get the new signings in? Is it just a case of however many we bring in, the same number we either need to shift out or not register?

Vestegaard, Bertrand, Perez not being registered for the second half of the season likely?

We currently have a registered squad of 25:

GK: Ward, Iversen, Smithies

DEF: Amartey, Bertrand, Brunt, Castagne, Evans, Faes, Justin, Soyuncu, Vestergaard

MID: Albrighton, Dewsbury-Hall, Maddison, Mendy, Ndidi, Praet, Soumare, Tielemans

FWD: Barnes, Daka, Iheanacho, Perez, Vardy

Kristiansen and Thomas don’t need to be registered due to their age, and I expect Justin will be dropped out with Ricardo taking his place

After that, unless a new signing is born after Jan 2001, a player will need to be dropped out to make space

Need a bastard CB very very badly.

Sutalo at Zagreb would be the one. Just wonder if the club would resist because of Benkovic. Sutalo however has proven already he's a monster and will only get better.

We should be all over Antonio for just 18 months - 2 years imo. People will no doubt, wrongly talk about his 'Injury record', when he averages far more games played a season than Ricardo or James Justin.

Had we not got the likes of Vestergaard, Bertrand, Mendy and Albrighton and to a lesser extent Praet offering nothing to the squad but close to £400k a week in wages, I guess we could have been. Rodgers seems very old fashioned in his approach to squad management, we seem to have 'First Teamers' and 'Backups'....This is 2023, you're supposed to have rotation and similar strength throughout the 25 man squad, or at least 18-22 similar strength, and 3-5 youngsters with potential.

Instead of 7+ 'Backups' on 75-80k a week, we'd be better off promoting Braybrooke, another couple of youngsters, and 3 'First Team challengers' like Antonio and a couple of others on £100-150k a week.

Called him the other week when I seen Monaco were being registered with signing him as for me he ticks all the boxes of what were after and surely he wouldn’t be costing much more than Souttar…. Sutalo and Manu Kone and I’ll be joining you on the flip flops and Robe to the local lol

Oh no, not Tottenham with a "transfer chance". If we are not careful they will send us a "transfer message", then reveal their "transfer stance", after a list of the "transfers they could make" is released (based on someone looking up bookmaker odds), then it will be Wednesday, and the lowly paid interns at Reach PLC will have to go into Word and use find and replace to swap "January window" for "Summer window" before continuing to regurgitate the same garbage for the next 6 months.

EDIT: forgot they may send us a "transfer instruction" or a "transfer claim" as well. For the love of god, does anyone working there talk like an actual human being? Now newspapers aren't limited by having to fit on a sheet of A4, these headlines are turning into the confused ramblings of a thesaurus being fed through a dodgy AI program in a desperate attempt to drive clicks from people who don't understand what the bloody headline is even about in the first place.

Sky seem to think we'd rather a CB on loan and left footed, can't think of any thst would obviously be available on loan but Willian Pacho at Antwerp is having an excellent season and likely be obtainable without spending stupid money.

Quite a few I wouldn’t mind permanently, in terms of on loan though, Morato - Benfica 🤔

Started the season for them, Antonio Silva then emerged and he’s been pushed to back up.

Saw Morato a couple of times earlier in the season, a bit raw in certain areas but the potential is there.

Completely missed him, you could be right on availability there!!

I onto think he comes this window either. It's a real shame as he will be our Maddison replacement.

Personally, I'd be inviting his parents/cousins/anyone else who cares to come and take a look at our training grounds. Lay in the groundwork ahead of a summer move.
