True but let’s face it Costa Rica are total garbage. You shouldn’t need that to beat them

Costa Rica are reasonable in terms of hard work and defensive organisation up to a point. Obviously not particularly enough to keep Spain and Germany out but they'd kept a lot of clean sheets in the build up to this tournament. 

 

Japan specialise at a low block and counter attack, that's how they beat Germany. But Costa Rica also just parked the bus in a low block, Japan don't have lots of creative players to break them down. 

 

I mean how many really shit teams that Leicester should beat have we lost to over the last few years because they parked the bus in a low block and we couldn't break it down? It's not easy to do when you don't have world class, champions league players in your squad.

That’s that then for this group.

 

Although whoever finishes second probably has a much easier route than the team in first. 
 

Croatia then probably Brazil or Morocco then probably Portugal

Well it is a shocking result that has put them out after a great win over Germany even a draw would have been useful. You obviously have taken what I was saying literally as opposed to just thinking what a great chance they blew that night

Well I just felt it was a huge opportunity lost for them, they are the better team and it was a bad result. It was more said out of frustration now that Germany are pretty much through lol
