I’m absolutely not an expert on such matters, but posting a private conversation on social media may also be illegal under the Harmful Digital Communications Act? 🤷. We are certainly through the looking glass now. 😞

What’s harmful about the conversation Sherlock Holmes?

This would be funnier if my son's address wasn't now on the public forum...

I'm not sure what your point is, it's pretty clear that he avoided answering my messages to bring them back for a week? He instantly replied to me when I offered to let him use them again though lol It also doesn't show the phone calls and voicemails left, that he also ignored....

But seeing as you know him, and he's so sound, tell him he still owes me for the 2 games he went to but didn't bother paying me for. He can make the equivalent donation to the forum seeing as he couldn't ever find the time to drop it round to my house.

Oh, and if you're going to post the conversation, can you at least post all of it, including the last messages he sent me?

Oh and he’s just confirmed there were no phone calls or voicemails. Was over 2 years ago so who knows if there really were but either way he said he was going to drop it off the night before the last game and you refused? Shouldn’t have kept offering them on for games you couldn’t be bothered to attend if you had an issue. Strange behaviour @FoxesDeb

Your sons address has been blanked out clearly. There’s one more message at the bottom stating what you’ve already said where he’s letting you know that you’ve wasted his time. And he clearly asks you as the screenshot shows ‘do you not want money for your tickets?’. Not being funny but if you waste someone’s time like you clearly and intentionally did and then don’t respond when they ask you about money you can’t come on here and complain. Don’t try and be holier than thou in the future thinking people won’t catch you out.

How has Deb wasted his time? What interest would Deb have in having her own time wasted when it came to wanting something back she owns?

The address was there when it was originally posted so plenty of people will have seen it. I can't see the message he sent me complaining he'd taken wasted time off work, despite posting on here that he was at the match, but fair enough if it's there.

If he wanted to give me the money and my tickets back, why not just bring them round? Put them through the letterbox? Why ignore my messages and calls for the best part of a week? Funny how he replied straight away when I offered to let him use them again though lol:rolleyes: At least I knew he was just blatantly ignoring me up until then...

There was no point in him bringing them back the night before, not that I think for one minute that he would have, I already had new ones on the way

And holier than thou? It was just a funny story about lending tickets lol

See this is why mobile ticketing works so much better. If you can’t be arsed with going to games and are happy to give your tickets to all and sundry, you only need to send on a QR code, only applicable to that match, and get paid via PayPal. Easier, faster, safer and more secure. Once people are rolled into it next season I bet we see an influx of ‘sorry can’t make it 1 ST available face value’ for every match

What I hate most about this ticket resale is that you only get back your 1/19th (that’s fair enough) but then for the club to sell it on for what would be close to double the amount Is criminal. Why not sell it for the 1/19th price?

...he has a point though!!!

The forum could be viewed as abeting, perhaps the mods have already looked into it and have had legal counselling regarding it.

It should be interesting to hear what the mods have to say in this respect, it does leave them open for punishment and not from the club itself.

I can't work this out, people sell tickets on this forum, in the tickets, news and travel sub forum, so you would have thought it had been okayed by the club or something and if this ticket has been sold on this forum, surely the poster would have an arguement to say that's how he thought tickets could be sold.

Because Rebekah Vardy still needs to pay off Rooney's mrs, the club need as much money as they can get. Those celebrations the other night weren't for scoring the goals, they were for his goal bonuses.

This is all getting a bit handbags!

I've sold plenty of times on this forum and never had any issues. Even brought as well.

There are a few out there who spoil it for the rest but that is always the case.

...ignorance is not an excuse!!!

As you have said, tickets are being  sold on this forum, you would have thought the the owners of this site would have had legal instructions as to the legality of doing so.

Mark has failed to comment on this, I think his input at this moment would be welcomed. Either that or he is at present reviewing his legal position.

I dont understand why you're trying to make a big deal out of it and involve legalities. You are bringing it more attention than it needs to

No chance, we all know it’s not allowed. Ignorance isn’t a defence. If you do something that you know is against the rules 99 times and get away with it, then on the 100th time get caught out, you can’t cry about it. I fail to believe people are that naive that they think selling tickets on an open, public forum accessible to all will not carry possible consequences

I'm ****ing crushed. Obviously no refund on this seasons ST and I lose the seat permanently now. I've been there a decade. I was just trying to help someone out. Sounds ridiculous but im absolutely broken. Every 2 weeks I get a bit of a break and some escape. That's now gone.

I’d go to the ticket office (on a quiet day), ask to speak to someone in charge. Be very polite. Make some bullsh!t up if need be… ‘needed the money to put towards shopping/bills’. Look visibly as gutted as you actually are.

Might be a bit of a blag, but I reckon you’d get some joy.

Yep, and someone earlier up the thread has said that he sold his seat through the club for a game that's now been rearranged, and he has to pay full price for a ticket for the new fixture. That doesn't seem very fair either, the club are making money on both his resale seat, and the new one he has to buy.

I agree but 3 times is nowhere near enough.

You could miss 3 games if you went on a 2 week holiday couldn’t you. It should be higher really,

I’ve used my 3 games up this season as I haven’t been able to see a single game so far

I’ve had a detached retina 3 times in my right eye and apart from 2 operations to try and rectify it (still not worked and have silicone oil in my eye to try and hold retina in place, still have partial detachment) I just haven’t been able to drive from Solihull and back.

It would be nice to have the option to sell more games back to the club and don’t really understand the thinking on only 3 games per season

Talk to Amanda Jacks. I promise you she will do everything she can to help you.

Same goes for anyone on here who finds themselves badly treated by the club and/or police for any reason. The FSA are really good at standing up for supporters' rights.

Sounds like a nightmare (hope the eye gets sorted soon). But yeah, you’d think they would take it on a case by case basis. Keep the season ticket, you regret giving it up! :scarf:

I know people who’ve had to be out of the country for 6 months (for work) but kept their season ticket knowing they’d not get another for years. No leeway from the club to accept a season long re-sale or out the ticket on hold.

The 100s (nowhere near as many as most on here) of games I’ve been to, I’ve never bought a ticket from the club, always used someone’s spare season ticket. Even managed to blag my way into St James’ once when I’d lost my ticket, had no battery on my phone to call my old man and arrived 10 mins late due to the trains.

Posting someone’s personal conversation could fall under the terms of ‘bullying or harassment’.  Both of which take it into dodgy territory, Watson.

Maybe this is half the reason fans want to shift them on to other fans for £20 rather than the clubs big dollar.
