We're not going to win it and you know it lol

I genuinely believe, that it is finally your turn again. The England team has looked the best team so far. Organised, physical, pragmatic and attacking players all with a goal in them.

This freak world cup in the middle of the desert in the month of christmas seems like a perfect place to bury your demons and win a major trophy again.

It'll be either Brazil, Argentin, or France!!

I'm going all out with them 3!!

Pick one of them and I will donate 10£ to Foxestalk if they win and you will do the same if England win. :)

How come you don't want England to win it?

No disrespect,  but been through this before and not going through it again.

Just dont think EVERYONE  living in England will be w@nking off to Southgate and singing "God save the "insert whichever", especially  some 2nd generation immigrants!

On the upside people can't stop bleating on about 1966.

Aren't we just old and bitter that we didn't experience this before we became jaded?

As a German fan I would love to be as "boring" as England currently are. If by "boring" it means winning games and being clinical, so be it.

I think I now know why I find it hard to love German football and also why your economy is so strong.

I think this is the order of favourites

1 France

2 Brazil

3 Spain

4 England

5 Portugal

6 Argentina

7 Croatia

8 Holland

(9 Morocco 10 Switzerland expect them to be off the list by tomorrow 9pm)

Apologies for quoting myself like a bell end you could make a case for 3 to 8 in any order, but France and Brazil look to be well ahead of the rest.

Completely agree aside from the fact I'd have Holland above Argentina and Croatia in 8th. Maybe I'm wrong but I think they will have Argentina's number and punish them.

But yeah, France will pump us and Brazil or Spain would too if we faced them.

I’m actually quite amazed how many of you are that impressed by France. I don’t think they got going at all in any of their games if it wasn’t for Mbappe’s absolute brilliance. The game they took him out of the team for a rest they lost.

Griezmann has has a damn good tournament too and Mbappe is that good that he alone has me worried for the weekend… but to be putting them as tournament favourites ahead of Brazil, Argentina (Saudi game aside) and Us? I’m not so sure.

I can get on board with that, Argentina have a real soft centre like a galaxy caramel its amazing they went so many games unbeaten with their defensive structure and lack of pressing

Brazil blew away a team that played straight into their hands; not in a similar way to what England did to Iran.

Brazil are good for sure and they have won against all sorts of teams - low blocks, teams that press them.

However they've not been defensively tested either, teams have gone in to neutralise them. I reckon if a decent team has a go at them, they're beatable.

France for me are the real deal and favourites.

Spain have a shout, they'll always dominate matches in the centre of the pitch but they're not the best side in either penalty box and I think that will be their downfall, expect them to go out in the semis to France.

England's dull horrible football will extinguish Portugal and Brazil's sexy appealing football. We'll watch the sexy die and celebrate.
