Loads of kids and first timers there today. Great to see 👍🏻

Absolutely, cheaper tickets always helps! My partner, normally apathetic towards football, went for the first time today to the tune of £15. Didn't hate it, actually enjoyed it, and if we score SIX every time she comes with me, then she can just have my season ticket. Everybody wins!

And those newbies today saw the bigger names play, not always the case in these cheapo early rounds

Pound for pound one of the worst travelling supports we’ve ever had down here

Rooney! Rooney! Then still singing about Vardy after he'd scored and finished the game.

First half seemed flat, second half better. Not as good as previous cup games.

There’s a QPR vlog and they’re support looks mainly a bunch of idiot school kids - which bodes well for them but their predictions pre and during game are hilarious,

Also heard it was decent in SK1. People moaning probably in A2 and P3 expecting partisan support.

I was sitting in A2 (season ticket singing section) and it was poor. Like I said earlier not a single person spoke round me, it was like I was a foreigner in a strange land. I'm glad I don't sit there regularly. If that's the norm.

I sit in SK1 just in front of the singing section. I said to my son it seemed louder today especially the reaction to our goals.
there were of course a few token nob heads who want everyone to know their inner thoughts on every moment because they’ve been to one game this season but it felt like more people joined in with the easier songs

Usually sit in the much ridiculed West Stand. Was in J3 for QPR and they can stick that area where the Sun don’t shine.

I felt the atmosphere yesterday was very odd.

It could've been the foggy conditions, it being a cup match or the low attendance (out of curiosity - what was the attendance?).

Even from the start, the fact that 'The Whole World Smiles With You' being repeated only once - when it's been twice for the last 2 years - was quite strange.

I sat further towards the front of SK1 then I have before (for reference, the UFS flags were one row infront of me). It felt like none of the chants were picking up, and whenever I turned to look behind me, all I seen was people mouths shut, not singing one bit, arms folded and a grumpy face, trying to spot where on the pitch the football was. It felt like the Rudkin songs picked up a bit in the second half, but in general it sounded a lot more quiet than normal to me (maybe it's harder to gauge sitting lower down).

The goal celebrations were more like cheers imo. Although saying that, when Wout's goal went in, the guy next to me and someone in the row infront ended up on the floor. That was the only goal celebrated like a premier league goal in the slightest.

For the life of don't understand why an orange ball wasn't used,so dam hard to see anything especially the first half, I didn't even know we had scored our first goal until,  I heard everyone cheering around the ground. I think the fog and when we whent 1-1  played a big part as well, everyone seemed on edge after they scored!!!

The stadium announcer for the QPR match has to be one of the dullest in the country!

The bloke sounds like he doesn't even want to be at the game.

The new stadium announcer seems get more irritating every home game, adding that little bit of extra cringe to his tone of voice!

A drum in 2 corners (SK1 & L1) is, and always has been totally ludicrous. Why ffs?

Crowd will never now sing or chant in unison, when was the last time?

The artificial creation of a supposed ‘singing section’ was done to appease a tiny minority (many official faces were against it- no names needed) and move the chanting away from away supporters as L1 were using hurty words.

if it ain’t broke don’t fix it.

Really sad to see, and hear

Looked like a lot of empty seats tonight, brief glimpse on tv of the away end, looked like Palace numbers were 800-1000? Gate was given as 29k plus?
