I'm more worried about relegation, lets get this season out of the way and then we can worry about midfielders!

The issue as well may be losing Tielemans on a free and Maddison for a reduced fee as he’ll have a year left, meaning not much money coming in to reinvest on 2 key players. We do with flushing some of the turds away really, though we’ve clearly tried.

Plus based on yesterday it’s likely we’ll go in strong to sign Tete.

Looking like an expensive window!

I think people too easily forget out elite Ndidi is at what he does when he's not completely devoid of cnfidence. He is a sweeper cdm good at sitting in front of the back four and cleaning up anything in front of them. This whole pressing game makes him look like a lost teddy. Put Ndidi back into that sitting role, let the full backs fly forward and give tielemans and madders the creativity to do what they want and everything is all fine. He was one of the best cdms in the prem for several years that isnt just gone

Imo Tielemans is going. Maddison signing, staying and going the season after. Tete imo I think we've got some sort of agreement because I don't think Rodgers would get a RW in with a risk of losing him especially with how damaging that area of the pitch has been for us. I think Harrison will come in the summer and I'll leave my other opinions to ric and co because I'm not blessed with their football iq.

I do beleive that letting maddison go (iff) Tielemans goes would be a massive mistake.

Liverpool had a pretty good period without any real creativity in the middle of the park, they had 3 workhorses who just gave it to the front 3 or let the wing backs do their stuff.  Perhaps it was Rodgers plan all along to go a 433/4231, until Ricardo got that injury, he was playing him in preseason as a RW?  Nacho becoming the man in the middle dropping in and creating the space for the wide men.  If it wasn't his plan, it bloody worked against Villa, so it could be the way forward.

Why does every one assume we are losing Maddison this summer, yes there is interest, yes he will be in the final year of his contract, but lets be right our club have proven to be very stubborn when it comes to selling hence why Youri is still here. Mahrez stayed an extra transfer window. We will either get a very good price for him or he will play out his final year. If we get a good price, then I expect Glover already has a replacement in mind.

If Youri goes, if we stay up and Southampton go down then maybe bid for Ward-Prowse. If (another “if” I know but it’s pointless speculating on undefined uncertainties) Madison stays then not so urgent as a 3 of Wilf, K D-H and Madison could work.

Ideally sure, this is where La Fee might be a shrewd signing, but stability is more important than creativity in midfield just because we have creativity elsewhere, but stability we are light on all over the pitch, oh and we definitely need a new keeper too.

100% need a new keeper, Ward made a right mess of the Coutinho goal, luck in was disallowed for offside.

Because if he doesn't sign a new contract we really need to sell him. We can't afford to keep losing the likes of Youri to free transfers.

No club our size can keep posting financial losses year on and year out and expect to be competitive in the transfer market.

My concern is timing. We knew Youri and Madders would both likely to be off, a year ago. Fear is we wait until PEP makes an offer on the last day of next tranfer market for Madders and we havent signed a replacement, arguing over 50p.

Weston Mckennie would have been absolutely perfect for us, Leeds have signed a gem.

Leeds are about to be relegated for signing “soccer” players and coaches.

I hope you're right, because with options either side of him Ndidi The Destroyer would be fantastic

The biggest crisis we have is between the sticks. Top priorities this summer, assuming we stay up. Is a decent keeper and retaining Maddison.

I fear that without selling Madders we'll be looking at another fallow window this summer

Youri staying has cost us tens of millions

I've just posted on the post match Thread that I really think we missed a great replacement for Youri in Onana who went to Everton.

I seen him for the first time on MOTD and he looks a real talent. He's exactly the type we should be targetting to replace Youri.

I think Onana will light up the Premiership with his Skill, Pace and Strength.

Onana is a completely different type of player to Tielemans. More similar to KDH (with the added bite of Ndidi.)

I would have agreed 6 months ago BUT, he appears to be broken.

The lad has gone from an explosive beast with extendable legs to a slow, shell of his former self.

I genuinely wouldn’t be fussed if we got a decent price for Ndidi, I don’t actually get sad when see that he’s missing from the starting 11 when previously it was one of our most noticeable losses.

Maybe Top is banking on Brendan to help us keep Youri and Maddison although I can't see Maddison staying as we will want to get some cash in.

Both Maddison and Tielemans have had new deals on the table for the best part of two years and neither of them have signed.

If finishing 5th and winning an FA cup couldnt convince them there is nothing else  Rodgers could do, especially now.

Hopefully the club are aware of the hit we are about to take this summer and are preparing for it. A good January window has restored some confidence.

We have money to recruit, so as long as we recruit properly and not act like kids in a sweet shop again then I'm sure every thing will be fine, just looking forward to that second title next season now.
