Samilktray Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 Disappointed this morning to see a post of mine with at least 16 laughing face reactions deleted. My ego feels bruised and quite frankly my Saturday has been significantly dented. Thanks for that Foxestalk! 3
Nalis Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 (edited) Spare a thought for poor Jason Mohammad, protests for his colleague and doesnt even get referred to by his name in the media. Â Edited 11 March 2023 by Nalis
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 Genuine question. Would scrapping the license fee and having the BBC go commercial/subscription be the only way to end this kind of government interference in the BBC?

It would reduce government interference but increase interference of others (eg Murdoch) so some folks be careful what they wish for. 3 1

Exactly this. Â The news source would either be Channel 4 (I enjoy it but lets face it its not balanced) chav tv I mean ITV, Murdochs Sky and god forbid GB News. There would also be the emergence of another Fox News style outlet.Â

Surely his path from nothing to rich man is the Tory dream? Made even worse when the ones they are backing are the privately educated, never worked a real job in their lives, plumbs in their mouths, elites!  It's the same type of people who fell for Trumps 'drain the swamp' without realising he was the biggest shit in the swamp!  1

Devil advocate time and a bit off topic - One thing I will say its that while I disagree with the elites pouting phrases like champagne socialism, I can sympathise with the working class or poor using it. There's a huge difference between the two as I can understand the working class and poor being told how to live their life by a rich socialite a little condensing.
Foxdiamond Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 The government must be delighted that all the attention is now on the BBC. What a mess.

HighPeakFox Posted 11 March 2023 Posted 11 March 2023 It is very difficult to keep this debate rational when enough people misquote, fail to read or just outright perform detailed mental gymnastics in order to avoid the important issue at hand. 3

The line may get blurred though, I would agree 1
