Did we get the Buddhist Monks to come and bless us this season?

Maybe we need the Dalai Lama to come and manage a couple of games for us.

With a full house I'm pretty sure that if he got us all chanting in unison it would awaken the players from their (insert your word here)

...anyone standing up to Rodgers would be dropped!!!

Players like Maddison would co.e to his defence and if we already do not have a fractured team, then we surely would have one now.

Possibly but why would Maddison defend a strategy that he must know is not working. He is leaving soon we know that but he wouldn't want playing for a relegated team on his CV.

I would understand you more if you thought they should all go, wherever Rodgers has gone he's left the club in a mess

I dont think you see the bigger picture. like a majority on here.

I'd be happy with any temporary manager who would:

- give Iversen a go

- stop playing a high line with slow defenders

- permanently drop Soumare

- get the team to show a bit of fight and be less fearful about attacking

- have at least some clue about substitutions

- not make pathetic excuses and blame others when we lose

I'm numb with it all, but I actually don't think anyone will save this team. The damage was done in the summer with the absence of investment in genuine quality Premier League players.

I'm not saying necessarily to keep Brendan Rodgers, but I think whoever you bring in, it will be tinkering with something that's broken. You may as well bring in someone with an eye on a Championship re-build.

What can a new manager do? It's not as though Rodgers isn't playing certain players that everyone is crying out for to start. It's not as though the players aren't playing for him, because they are.

A new manager can do the following, but it's still tinkering imo and won't materially change anything:

Start with Iversen.

Don't play Amartey.

Be more direct and stop all this fannying about at the back.

Play two up front.

Don't take Mendy off for Soumare when he's having a half decent game.

Be braver to run at people with the ball, and don't be afraid of losing possession.

However none of that is enough and we're down. The quality isn't there. It's not a Premier League team. Yesterday we had one Premier League quality player on the pitch in Maddison. I don't think any of the others would walk into another Premier League team and start without question. I know we beat Spurs 4-1, but they're a mess on their day so we can't base anything on Spurs.

Part of me actually wants to see BR try to keep us up and stick it out, rather than escaping out of it. I do feel sorry for him with the lack of investment, and yes he doesn't help himself with his odd decisions, but....he's tinkering, and a new manager will tinker with a product that's broken.

...you would assume he believes like most that Rodgers has not been backed, and is the reason why we are in this predicament!!!

Maddison has come out praising Rodgers for improving his game, he would be the last person in the group, challenging Rodgers.

You do find in life, that their are some people that on a one to one basis can talk to you and make you feel that you and your wellbeing is the most important thing to that person. I am not sure if the person giving out that kind of empathy believes it themselves at the time, because they come across as genuine.

It is what they do, as opposed to what they say,  is how you determine who and what they really are.

The not being backed excuse doesn't really wash. The club have bought a lot of players in the last four years. We are never in the market for the so called elite players anyway. Even if you are ,its no guarantee of success , see Chelsea. The assessment of the players at your disposal is vital and using them to the best of their capabilities is the key. Rodgers does not do that. He is stubbornly wedded to the wrong tactics which have been eroded and are no longer consistently effective.

Predrag Radosavljević

He doesn't even have to be Predrag, he can show up in a dress and makeup if he wants, as long as he gets the job done.

Clearly you are one that doesn’t? Rodgers needs to go, he isn’t as good as you think he is! Every time he’s been at a club and says it’s in their own hands he fails miserably

Nobody saves this team but the team itself. They all need to band together and short this sheizer out. The fans will follow but not until they sort it out. We cannot go on the field and do it for them.
