Jesus saves. Might be a step too far though with the present set up 😓.

It'll be a tough task convincing him to leave Arsenal and that his playing career is over. But worth a try.

There’s limited options so certain things have to be considered.

Rafa is vastly experienced, he’s probably respected to a certain degree due to his past endeavours, but his recent jobs haven’t been particularly productive.

Frank, as undesirable as he seems he has been involved in a relegation fight previously and has successfully navigated his way out of it.

The reality of the situation is what it is, most of us could see where this was going 18 months ago, so as per we are going to be scrambling around when it’s too late because the board lack foresight.

We need to try something different, I would genuinely take anything other than Rodgers at this moment. And please don’t come at me saying “be careful what you wish for”.

Big fat sam or a big fat sam equivalent.

Anyone who realises we need to play to our strengths and win as many games as possible to even get comfortable.

Yep, you dont want these types of manager for the long term but Top or more likely the arseholes he has trusted to run things has completely fùcked that luxury.

Said it on another thread but Dean Smith with Shakespeare til the end of the season, overlooking their time at Norwich of course?!

The supporters inside the stadium.

I know everyone is a bit fed up right now, but it’s no coincidence our best performances this season have been when the support has been right behind the lads - Forest at home, Spurs at home, Villa away.
The worst performances Arsenal at home where there was the silent protest, was arguably our worst performance.

If we want to get out of this mess, we are going to need to vocally back the lads. Look at teams like Everton last season who roared a pretty average side to survive.

What ever your thoughts around Rodgers, Top, Rudkin, the board, the players etc.

If we are going to survive we are going to need to fully back the lads for 90 minutes in every game between now and the end of the season.

One of the criticisms of Rodgers is the lack of motivation he is giving the players on the touch line, if he’s not going to do it , we’re going to have to do it ourselves.

If he by some miracle is sacked, I can see them going for Rafa.

Which didn't save Newcastle from relegation did it, with more games left for them for him to turn it round for them, than he has here.

If, as seems likely, that Top is not going to give Rodgers the boot- what have we got to lose by doing so?

The next move is such a big one. Do we go short term and offer someone until the end of the season, keep us up and get a nice bonus or look for a long term appointment.

Personally if we are dealing in the ‘mini’ car market and looking long term, I would go for Robins at Coventry (taking their 2 best players in the summer) or Frank at Brentford (he would come). Short term…Martin O’Neil to put some fire in the bellies.

Didn't they go straight back up as champions the next season though?

Admire your point but unfortunately we can’t make the substitutions.

Realistically, probably Rafael Benitez or Vincent Kompany.

are we more attractive then Burnley currently? They definitely will be playing premiership football next season we won't and have a massive rebuild to do whatever division we are playing in next season.
