Really think England have a chance of winning the Euros but this game is a further red flag on Southgate - still can't help but be overly cautious and this is against a side England are vastly superior to. It'll be more of the same in the summer.

I don’t agree, I would rather you are more fluid and pull them out of position with quick precise passing and good movement off the ball. This hasn’t been that today, it has been back to typical southgate ball

Problem with Southgate continually picking Maguire and Henderson is he's now made them a big target. If he subs them, it makes them and him look even worse (possibly even get boo'd or sarcastically cheered coming off). I don't agree with it but I can understand taking Henderson because of his leadership. But playing the full 90 is ridiculous.

 

Always thought that Southgate gets an unfair amount of criticism in some quarters (whilst having obvious faults). But after this squad and team selection. I've now gone to the darkside. You don't need Henderson against Ukraine when you've got Rice and Bellingham playing. He can't always set his team up in such a negative way and hope some individual brilliance wins it.

nah for the love of god i hope southgate does go, this just reminds me of us the last 18months under Rodgers, hes still playing favourites too

 

no way in hell is Southgate a top manager
