Nice to see the minutes although it raises a concern in my mind that now there are secret supporters in the know. Under NFC the club shared confidentially. How are these people supposed to know how the broader supporters will feel about these changes. Should say club told us what they are changing and ensured supporters get no say. No real actions are there where are the list of actions from the previous meetings and reports on what was done. Seems Avery Kim By Ya meeting approach.

There have always been elements of FCC meetings that have been regarded as "not to be published" since they were set up nearly 20 years ago, the minutes do indicate the areas of discussion but don't go into the full detail of what has been said on every topic. Checking back, the style of the minutes changed in 2018, prior to that they were "named action" style of minutes

"Club shared some confidential insights into potential introductions under consideration for 2023/24 which provided members with some reassurance that the introduction of NFC can remain gradual and manageable" - meaning...what, exactly? The current plan of making it mandatory for everyone after one season would not be gradual, so am I to take it that's no longer happening? The acknowledgement of how many different groups will potentially be shafted by digital-only ticketing being followed immediately by "but no reason why roll-out cannot continue" is truly great stuff.

I'd love to know what is meant by the references to the concerning behaviour of some away supporters. Reassuring though that the opportunity was taken to ask the big questions like "what time does the bar open?".

Threating behaviour to fellow (LCFC) fans in the concourses, drug taking and increased occasions where fans with banning orders are getting into away games, hence the measures the club have introduced on checking away tickets.

The Foxes Trust, DSA & Union FS held a combined meeting with the club a few months ago to raise our various concerns with NFC and that has resulted in a re-think

Having been at that meeting, I think the saying the club has had a re-think is being very generous.

As far as I am aware they still appear to be ploughing on with the plans. They also are talking about bold moves like including adding photo id to season tickets (didn't know we were stuck in Thatcher’s 80’s) and charging a higher price to those who choose to have a physical card still.

No other meeting has been arranged and no further information has been given. Any complaints on digital are just met with an reply from Jim saying can you come in and talk to them, usually on non match days. A clear ploy to take such interactions away from a paper trial and as difficult as possible for the said supporter.

I may be being naïve, but this seems an awful lot of faff to try and avoid ticket reselling, ticket passing on. When inevitably it'll take at most a few weeks to figure out how to get around it.

It seems such a small issue to be spending this much time on, when we have far far bigger issues to tackle

I've said this before about NFC and I'll say it again. I've been to every home game this season as a member and used NFC for both myself and my son, not had one single issue at any stage. Downloaded every ticket as soon as it was emailed to me, took less than 3 seconds, brought the ticket up as I approached the turnstyle, tapped my phone on the reader, in we went, could not be simpler. It really puzzles me when I read all these posts about people having issues with NFC, for me it's the future and I'll never request another paper ticket if I can avoid it. The simple fact is that some people just dont like change and aren't willing to embrace something new. I will caveat all that by saying that there are obviously some scenarios in which NFC is just not an option for some people and for that reason, a paper ticket is fully justified but moaning about just because you don't like it, move with the times people!!

"I'm alright Jack!"

Just becuase something works fine for you and your son doesn't make it suddenly perfect for everyone. There's lots of people of different age groups where a smartphone isn't a given.

I too personally have not had an issue when using them with my son, however other people do. I missed the first 10 minutes of the Blackburn cup game because so many people were struggling with them. As the first full season they should have been made optional for those comfortable in using them like yourself. Trying to just usher it in all in one go and make it difficult for those who don't want them has caused no end of issues.

That's your opinion, but it's not one shared by everyone.

I think the biggest problem is that the club are forcing this and looking down a route of making this mandatory. It's important that people are still given I choice. I have used it a couple of times this season for cup games and got on fine with it.

There are already a few clear and obvious ways around it. Once you use them more and more you will see it is easy and much better than paper tickets. It is surely no faff for lcfc to role out mobile ticketing and will save them loads in admin time and money. I am not sure they are spending a lot of time on the issue?

That is exactly what they are doing? I think you are shouting into the wind, there was an option to take up NFC this year, next year is mandatory.

What if the club decide to microchip fans so they know it’s definitely you, should we all just accept it to move with the times?

I've only been down 3 times this season and each time I've not had a choice to not have the NFC version, unless I want to jump through a few hoops and call the club up to sort it which I cba with. It's 'optional' but it's kind of not at the same time.

He literally acknowledged that at the end of his post.

Ok understood, I got an option and I am sure others did too as still see loads of people with physical tickets, but obviously not for you.
