He literally acknowledged that at the end of his post.

And most of the people he claims are 'moaning' that they are made to use an NFC ticket or don't like them, are those exact people, so his 'acknowledgement' means nothing.

That is exactly what they are doing? I think you are shouting into the wind, there was an option to take up NFC this year, next year is mandatory.

It will not be mandatory, the club cannot force fans to buy compatible smart phones and it has been pointed out it could be regarded as discriminatory against fans who don't understand how to use smart phones or own one

I spoke to Jim - the supporter liaison guy - before the Brentford game at the start of the season. He told me that I could continue receiving a paper ticket this season, but next year it will be phone tickets only. No exceptions, if you haven't got a compatable phone, basically tough, they don't want you at their ground. Not arguing with anyone, just passing on what an official club spokesman told me.

Tbf that was 7, nearly 8, months ago now. Things may well have changed

To be fair I wouldn't exactly say Jim knows what's going on or holds much sway.

I pointed out that Alfie couldn't have a ticket on his phone because his phone is set up correctly ie he's a minor so he can't have Google wallet, he doesn't always arrive at the ground with me so I can't have his ticket on my phone and when I missed the 1st park of the season I could also hardly hand him my mobile phone for the 8 hours he was put the house without me.

The club did seem to take this on board, however I don't think they had even realised this was an issue until I raised it, it definitely caught them on the hop as they thought I was gonna raise the issue of oldies like you lol

So they are starting to realise going 100% all in on it like Man City and Liverpool would cause several issues especially in a society where we can then label them as discrimatory.

I would hope the outcome is that we are given the choice again. But I think that choice will come with a £15 quid or so admin charge.

Agree with all of this, including the 'oldies' comment (cheeky git!), cheers mate.

Not much comment on here, but 45% of the away tickets requiring ID were not collected at Southampton.I wonder what that tells us.?

They’re probably still trying to work out where to collect them. Our fans aren’t the brightest when it comes to change.

I am a regular traveller.

If I was asked to pick up at the ground I wouldn't.

We've moved on from Thatchers 80s.

I'd imagine that far from Random ID checks, which would include a decent % of the mentally ill,  the random checks by chance landed on lads between 18-30.

Surely that’s an issue for the police?

As long as the club can prove that they haven’t sold direct to someone with a banning order then surely it’s over to the police to handle from there.

Depends what they define as a "banning order". If it's a court enforced order or just a "ban" issued by the club to say you can't come on their property. It might be the latter given LCFC don't have the power to "ban" someone from an away ground, they can just refuse to sell them a ticket for that fixture. Doesn't mean that individual can't pick up a ticket from elsewhere.

It tells us that our end wasn't full and that up to 45 fans who were unable to attend by another means, because our club refused to put tickets on general sale despite that being an option, might now think of doing something else on a Saturday rather than follow a club desperate to criminalise them.

It tells us what we all already know, quite a percentage of those high up the priority points sell their tickets and keep collecting the away points, it’s as simple as that.

Action could be taken against the individual who originally bought the ticket and passed/sold it on to a fan with a banning order, this action could in theory be to deduct X no of away points, so making it harder to get away tickets in the future or removing all away points

Well, it's not as simple as that, is it?

The only reason tickets are sold on is because there is a demand for that - even in away ends we aren't selling out like Southampton away. And why is that demand there? Because for some folk it's the only possible way they can get tickets, even for games we aren't selling out like Southampton away, because of the club's ridiculous anti-general sale policy.

What if the club decide to microchip fans so they know it’s definitely you, should we all just accept it to move with the times?

standard sleepwalking idiots that infest this country, unfortunately.

"well if you're doing nothing wrong" fools. large part of the reason this country is in the shitter.

I missed the first 10 minutes of the Blackburn cup game because so many people were struggling with them

You probably wish you missed the whole 90 minutes lol.

Awful performance and such a limp way to go out of the FA Cup. But never mind Rodgers remains untouchable. Can't wait for him to oversee our rebuild :(.

Well if there is a demand, those in priority 1 for example can stop buying them when they have no intention of attending and let those further down the chain have a chance of buying their own and gaining points. It obviously is not the only possible way they can get tickets,If people really want to attend away games, become a member. Why should they on occasions get a ticket over a member or season ticket holder.

It is very simple, the club put in checks to see who is cheating the system and 45% of admittedly a small sample don’t turn up,that is no coincidence.

If only 100 are checked each away game the odds are you won’t even have to go through it once a season, hardly a hardship.

Why should people have to stump up £30 to have the opportunity (not even the guarantee) of attending the very occasional away game?

Nobody's saying anyone who's not an ST holder or member should get priority, but if we've got a situation where the club aren't even willing to sell to anyone who's not in that exclusive club then there's something extremely wrong with the system that means reference swapping happens to the degree it does (if we're assuming all 45 were no-shows for that reason - anecdotal evidence on here suggests people were refused despite turning up because the child accompanying them was the "wrong child", for example).

As for the random selection hardly being a hardship, well it is an inconvenience that *none of us* previously had to go through and it's going to make going to away games just that little bit less enjoyable than it used to be because you have to plan your day around that.

Definitely wish I'd stayed in the pub.

Probably 3 of the worst individual performances I've seen by Leicester players (Soumare, Thomas and Amartey) and they all came in one game.
