Hopefully I will look stupid in a couple of hours but Vardy is definitely done at this point, feel his injuries last season basically finished him, can't believe he is starting over Iheanacho and even Daka

Vardy has 1 goal 4 assists in 1275 minutes in the league this season, Daka has 4 goals and 3 assists in 921 minutes and Iheanacho has 3 goals 4 assists in 754 minutes

He hasn't scored or assisted since October

I feel we're all buying into this notion that Vardy has a glorious swan song left in him, and will score the goals to keep us up. Sincerely hope my skepticism proves unfounded.

I don't think I've missed Kasper more than I do for this game. In this current era, it's our club legends that have made the difference when it most counted. Vardy is the last man standing. Come on, old pal, prevail for us!

Mendy has been immense recently and Maddison has looked poor since moving centrally. Having KDH at CAM gives more press in their half.

This game is partly managed by a goal-keeping coach. Let that sink in.

look at his stats before BR came in and he was dropped. Sure he is older now but you would only expect a 50 percent drop off not 99.

Maddison will get a free role to pick up the ball perhaps a bit deeper and link with Barnes/Vardy. Souttar can also play long ball direct, Castagne and Kristiansen can link up also with Barnes/Maddison. It will hopefully be more direct

Stowell last 2 1st matches saw Gray brought, I was hoping we would see Castagne/Pereira Combo on the right on a change in system, no sure about this line up, but still a hell of a lot more optimistic than any recent match

 

Villa have got the more attacking line up?
