**** it let's go for it. If only because I'm late 30s and starting to have an early midlife crisis

May I suggest an affair, or perhaps morris dancing?

Genuinely don't know how to feel with this.

Cant do any worse than our caretaker blokes. Offer him a lump sum and the pile of notepads and dusty lipbalms Rodgers left behind if he keeps us up.

Legacies mean little, we won the Premier League less than 10 years and look at us now.

Jaime Vardy our greatest ever player look at him now

Luckily i think the O'Neill option is total bullshìt.

Hasn't he been linked with the job one way or another every time since around 2006 or so?

This time is pretty real.

Depends on the support around O’Neill - we need an organiser desperately who can sort our defence.

MON as the figurehead plus motivator together with a younger coach more versed in the modern game might work.

This would be disasterous for everyone involved, including us fans.

I don't want to see O'Neill with a relegation on his CV with us.

Iv absolutely hated the last year under that horrible little dwarf - I’d absolutely love to have a manager I love back in charge - what a man as well - was on talk sport last week giving Simon Jordan a tough time - he is an absolute legend - and I’d personally love it

Seriously imagine the vibes if we stay up last day and the stadium's singing "Martin O'Neill's Blue Army"

Like it’s a dream isn’t it. It makes no sense but if he comes and keeps us up, It be frigging amazing.

Guppy and Parker as assistants.

He’s still only 20/1 with the bookies despite the clickbait article. I can’t see it happening tbh. Just lazy paper talk.

Presumably those odds are for permanent next manager

This would be a car crash and who would want to taint his legacy?

How would failing to keep this bunch of spineless twats up taint his legacy in the slightest?  We are ****ed anyway so what else do we do?

So you’re saying we have nothing to lose? I guess he MAY be able to bring the entire club together, but it’s a hell of a risk.
