To be quite honest, as far as caretaker candidates go, id much prefer having someone we care about and cares about us than a big sam or pardew type. And defintely more than the current 2 leading the ship.

Its 10 games, you need a motivator at this point not someone planning to change the whole team around.  Nothing changes what he did in the past.

Just maybe though Martin game in for the final 9 games and managed to keep us up on the last day. His reputation would go beyond a legend! However club must not go beyond the summer with Martin.

Can't see it happening. When did he last manage?

Put it this way - yes it's probably a bad idea but after this depressing season the slim possibility of a Martin O'Neill managed Leicester team staying up at the expense of Notts Forest is just too tempting

I don’t even want to contemplate this being a disaster.

The absolute scenes when he comes in and keeps us up, it would put him right back on top as our greatest ever.

Heart over head stuff for me, get him in. He can do it.

It would make a disaster of a season - EPIC!

Realistically, we shouldnt do this in a million years but **** me its good to imagine.

Why not, the season is already buggered anyway

Could happen as maybe the board want to get the fans back on side, what better way to turn the majority's head then bring back a legend

Can't think of a better available option to be honest. Gotta be better having a motivator with experience than relying on a couple of rookies to get us over the line. Nothing to lose in my opinion.

3-5-2, get it forward quickly, O'Neill on the touchline in a black jumper with 31 on it and football boots. Take me back immediately.

Yes and the wing backs will be Barnes and Tete! Come on!!

A caretaker manager needs immediate impact - and this would be not on the training ground, but instead in the dressing room - the man management. I think that is what we and then team need.

There's little time for new ideas etc. Someone like MON or Benitez would have the experience and skills to hopefully motivate and inspire the players to get us the results we desperately need.

I’m all for it. I’m 29 so my memories of MON as our manager are very limited but I know he was scary and passionate. Something we haven’t had since NP left.

These players need a rocket up their backsides.

Their confidence is shot to pieces. A rocket up the backside rarely helps in that kind of situation.

Well an arm around the shoulder hasn’t worked either so I don’t know where we go from here. Other than down.

And a winner, which is what we need. He would also play his strongest team until they physically couldn’t run anymore, then make a change. Unlike our former manager who had all his changes lined up before the game had even started!
