To be quite honest, as far as caretaker candidates go, id much prefer having someone we care about and cares about us than a big sam or pardew type. And defintely more than the current 2 leading the ship. 

 

Its 10 games, you need a motivator at this point not someone planning to change the whole team around.  Nothing changes what he did in the past.

Picture this... its final game of the season, we need 3 points to survive.... we have taken a 1-0 lead after souttar turns into matt elliott and pops one home.....its the 90th minute and ndidi gives away a standard penalty.... but wait the board goes up... O'neil is rolling back the years and making a keeper subsititution. Danny ward is due to come on for the penatly.  Benhrama runs up, decides to do a stuttered run up.... danny ward pannics and tries to dive as far as he can out of the way of the ball so he doesnt get a stingy belly..... but benhrama fools him with the stutter and ward accidentally goes the right way... the ball hits him clean in the face... the final whistle goes and leicester have done it. Put it this way - yes it's probably a bad idea but after this depressing season the slim possibility of a Martin O'Neill managed Leicester team staying up at the expense of Notts Forest is just too tempting

Bring him in for 9 games but no longer. The ideal short term appointment I think, will get the crowd up for it at least!

The absolute scenes when he comes in and keeps us up, it would put him right back on top as our greatest ever.

Why not, the season is already buggered anyway

Could happen as maybe the board want to get the fans back on side, what better way to turn the majority's head then bring back a legend

Can't think of a better available option to be honest. Gotta be better having a motivator with experience than relying on a couple of rookies to get us over the line. Nothing to lose in my opinion.

He will show everyone how to motivate a set of players and what quality man management is.  He is still the greatest ever imo although Ranieri runs him a close second.

A caretaker manager needs immediate impact - and this would be not on the training ground, but instead in the dressing room - the man management. I think that is what we and then team need.

 

There's little time for new ideas etc. Someone like MON or Benitez would have the experience and skills to hopefully motivate and inspire the players to get us the results we desperately need.

I’m all for it. I’m 29 so my memories of MON as our manager are very limited but I know he was scary and passionate. Something we haven’t had since NP left.

Their confidence is shot to pieces. A rocket up the backside rarely helps in that kind of situation.

And a winner, which is what we need. He would also play his strongest team until they physically couldn’t run anymore, then make a change. Unlike our former manager who had all his changes lined up before the game had even started!
