Popular Post Ric Flair Posted 5 April 2023 Popular Post Posted 5 April 2023 3-5-2, get it forward quickly, O'Neill on the touchline in a black jumper with 31 on it and football boots. Take me back immediately. 18
Lambert09 Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 To be quite honest, as far as caretaker candidates go, id much prefer having someone we care about and cares about us than a big sam or pardew type. And defintely more than the current 2 leading the ship. Its 10 games, you need a motivator at this point not someone planning to change the whole team around. Nothing changes what he did in the past. 2

His reputation would go beyond a legend! However club must not go beyond the summer with Martin. Picture this... its final game of the season, we need 3 points to survive.... we have taken a 1-0 lead after souttar turns into matt elliott and pops one home.....its the 90th minute and ndidi gives away a standard penalty.... but wait the board goes up... O'neil is rolling back the years and making a keeper subsititution. Danny ward is due to come on for the penatly. Benhrama runs up, decides to do a stuttered run up.... danny ward pannics and tries to dive as far as he can out of the way of the ball so he doesnt get a stingy belly..... but benhrama fools him with the stutter and ward accidentally goes the right way... the ball hits him clean in the face... the final whistle goes and leicester have done it. bovril Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 Put it this way - yes it's probably a bad idea but after this depressing season the slim possibility of a Martin O'Neill managed Leicester team staying up at the expense of Notts Forest is just too tempting 1
Blue-fox Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 Bring him in for 9 games but no longer. The ideal short term appointment I think, will get the crowd up for it at least!
Dames Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 I don’t even want to contemplate this being a disaster. The absolute scenes when he comes in and keeps us up, it would put him right back on top as our greatest ever. Heart over head stuff for me, get him in. He can do it. 4

Realistically, we shouldnt do this in a million years but **** me its good to imagine. 1
copunk Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 (edited) Why not, the season is already buggered anyway Could happen as maybe the board want to get the fans back on side, what better way to turn the majority's head then bring back a legend Edited 5 April 2023 by copunk 2
l444ry Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 Can't think of a better available option to be honest. Gotta be better having a motivator with experience than relying on a couple of rookies to get us over the line. Nothing to lose in my opinion. 1
Legend_in_blue Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 He will show everyone how to motivate a set of players and what quality man management is. He is still the greatest ever imo although Ranieri runs him a close second. 3
TeamRocket Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 You never know might work people wrote off CR and he made sure we won the prem MON might bring us the Coca-Cola cup back home hes alot more older and wiser
Popular Post ian__marshall Posted 5 April 2023 Popular Post Posted 5 April 2023 Would love to be a fly on the wall the day Madders swaggers in to the dressing room with his see through LV man bag only to look up and see Roy Keane stood next to MON 😂 8

pkonline Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 A caretaker manager needs immediate impact - and this would be not on the training ground, but instead in the dressing room - the man management. I think that is what we and then team need. There's little time for new ideas etc. Someone like MON or Benitez would have the experience and skills to hopefully motivate and inspire the players to get us the results we desperately need.
STUHILL Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 Martin O'Neill?!! Fook it. Get him in. Quite a story at the very least
Jakemoore Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 I’m all for it. I’m 29 so my memories of MON as our manager are very limited but I know he was scary and passionate. Something we haven’t had since NP left. These players need a rocket up their backsides.

He would also play his strongest team until they physically couldn’t run anymore, then make a change. Unlike our former manager who had all his changes lined up before the game had even started! 1
the draper Posted 5 April 2023 Posted 5 April 2023 Yes yes yes And more yes And let him bring that Keane fella 😄
