Early Cup draws just came out, Cleethorpes Town away in the FA Cup and Rushden & Diamonds at home for Loughborough Dynamo, happy enough with that

Cleethorpes are decent.

Leiston have been raided all 3 of their top goal scorer’s from last season gone.

Possible they could struggle next season. Same happened to Rushden last, missed out narrowly on the play offs come the summer their former manager now at Tamworth took a few of there key players with him. Following season Rushden get relegated... Tamworth get promoted.

Droylsden Fc back with over 1000 turning up for their first friendly.

Fantastic news for them, I remember they got into the conference for season back 2007.Sadly the smallest gates in the league, think 600 was there average gate. You hope with this 1,000 attending gives them hope for the future.

They've lost this summer:

Jake Hutchings (Coalville Town),

Adam Mills (Chelmsford City),

Ben Fowkes (Peterborough Sports),

Finlay Barnes (York City),

and crucailly Will Davies (Braintree Town).

They've brought in Ross Crane (Needham Market) and  Spencer Keller (King's Lynn Town), so a big rebuild is underway.

Popped over to Melton Sports Village to see Spalding take on Melton Town, quite a few well known names I recognized - no team sheet - Breeden, Morley, Hilliard, Clifton and Sweeney for Spalding and Paul Anderson and Greg Mills for Melton, Mills is far too good for the United Counties League!

Really nice little set up at Melton, first visit and to be honest there was not much between the two teams and a draw would have been a fair result, a Sweeney goal after half time was the difference between the two sides.

Possibly another central midfielder to come as well.

I'm not sure we will. McGlinchey has played in the 10 role in pre-season with Pep in the back three.

I wouldn't be against another box-to-box CM coming in, but we are well-stocked in that area of the pitch.
