If we lose a contracted player, they'll replace them, but I can only see us bringing in one more at most.

 

I prefer the Coalville approach. One club in the SLCP already had a turnover of 21 players before pre-season.

No point in having a bigger squad as AS doesn't use it enough and you just end up with players moving due to getting no game time. 

 

He needs to rotate and use his squad much better this season imo.

I think he utilised the squad quite well considering the amount of games we played and the long-term injuries to Thanoj, Eggleton and Berridge, and Chambers carrying a knock for most of the run-in.

Have Kee, Robbo, and Dean been retained then ?

I mean he was forced into all of those things, 

 

Jdc was barely worth having on the pitch last 5 games, he got flogged.

I think that's a bit unfair. He played through injury under his own volition to be fit for the Charlton game , and maybe that had an effect towards the end of the season, but he certainly wasn't a passenger.

 

When you have a squad as thin as ours, fine margins are always going to come into play. If Billy puts that shot a yard to the left of the Bromsgrove keeper in the 90th minute, we go on to win the league.

16 players, the manager and a few of the staff have departed. They've brought in Marc Abbott as manager, who's Head of Youth Development at Cambridge United. They've lost some very good players, so he'll have a massive job on his hands.

Nah, they dont have the global reach but they have potential in terms of sharing a large local catchment area with Palace and to a lesser extent Bromley

Yeah. He’s good mates with one of my managers at work. Not a surprise as they socialise in the same circles as some of the sponsors that Solihull have gone with him. 
 

I asked about the Banbury job. He said the board were quite spiteful and told him lies.

Think their owner gets involved too much for them to be successful, he seems to be the one signing the players, don’t think he can leave it alone and usually ends up sacking the manager a few months into the season.

Dean Holdsworth quit last season and his assistant, Gavin Hurren, took over. I hope you're right. The league is competitive enough as it is, but Stratford's form from around Christmas onwards was top 5/6.

Looking forward to getting down more this season, unless there's some brilliant fluke of fixtures falling perfectly I doubt I'll be going for a Season Ticket but can never gripe at a tenner a game, even if it is £2 more than last season haha
