Nope, haven’t read one in years. Bizarrely slipped out of the habit of keeping up to date with any news over the past few months which is quite nice.

Last time I bought a paper was when we won the league for the souvenir pullout.

Couldn't even tell you how much a newspaper is these days tbh

The only time I buy a newspaper is on the morning of the Grand National. Go round the family and sort the bets out. Bit of a family tradition.

I also bought all of the papers with City on the front page the week of the title win. Don't really know what the intention was... Keepsakes I suppose. They've lived in a cupboard ever since along with a bottle of Captain Morgan and a packet of Walkers Champions edition crisps long past their sell-by date.

Don't recall buying one since.

About time shit like the Sun disappeared completely. For too long they've been poisoning the minds of working class people in this country.

The actual brands of newspapers aren't going to anytime soon though. They've just moved online now instead of in print copies.

Top Websites Ranking In United Kingdom In April 2023 | Similarweb

TheSun's website is right up there in popularity in the UK alongside tiktok and xhamster.

Whereas the daily mail and the guardian websites are even more popular than linkedin and PornHub.

Haven't bought one in years, but get the free Metro to read on the plane whenever I've travelled recently, or if I'm going to/from London on the train.

I buy one at the weekend - the I normally. As a lot of useful stuff outside the news.

The old man religiously buys the Sun and Mercury - and then moans how poor the quality of the Sun is.

Occasionally pick up Metro, when I was in London I picked up the Evening Standard quite a bit but considering George Osborne was the editor for a period, your read it with a pinch of salt

Who still buys one?

I buy a local paper (YEP) if I’m going in to the office to read on my dinner. Journalism student once upon a time and it sounds dead naff but there is something special having the paper in your hand reading it. I do appreciate news moving more towards a more digital format though, it’s better for the environment and more accessible, even if it is harder to read (imo) and you have to put up with adverts. There needed to be a trade off I suppose.

YEP recently had a bit of a print revamp. Its sister paper the Yorkshire Post is doing some really good investigative work on mucky goings-on with the Teesside Freeport at the moment.

It’s a really good local paper Imo and they were always very welcoming of us whilst at Uni. Their sports desk put me in touch with the press officer at Leeds United so I could go to press conferences for example, I remember being there when Cellino had a fag break half way through one of them and a load of journo’s chased him outside. YP has always had a good reputation for quality journalism as far as I’m aware.

I like a nice weighty weekend paper, but that’s about it.  Daily news is easy to get either on tv or online but weekend papers are not  about Daily news. I find them quite informative and they feed my thirst for knowledge.

Anything more popular than Pornhub needs to be closely monitored, and probably shut down
