We can’t stay up on previous seasons success. This season Everton have been the better side. They even managed to beat arsenal when both sides were at the extreme ends of the table. We’ve had about 3-4 good performances.

I think the point is that Everton’s players recognised their position and have fought for the club

our prima donnas on the other hand ……

If we do stay up we'll have robbed it.

For long periods this season we have been atrocious. If not all of it. Even the first few home games of the season were a complete shambles. Throwing 3 points away against Brentford and Southampton.

Oh absolutely. Forest and Everton have had drive and determination.

No way Maddison deserved another England call up. Tw@t.

Everton and Leeds can say the same thing.

In fact most of the teams above us can, Palace useless for months, Forest minus 20 or whatever it is goal difference, Bournemouth lost 9-0.

If we stay up we deserve to stay up!

They have been just as rancid as us.

I get the rancid comment but when I’ve seen them play they have generally given a sh1t at certain stages of the game. Throwing themselves into blocks and attempting to close down as a unit with real effort. these are things that we have rarely seen this season.

They’ve been 2 points less rancid than us.

Well we'll know whether that's true after today. If they finish above us, they've been better; if they don't, they haven't.

Let's see how the dust settles at the end of today.

I just think we just built a squad which is technical but struggles with that side of the game, which is why we are were we are.

Maddison, Tielemans and Ndidi were one of the best midfields in the country, whilst Wilf as a monster doing all the dirty work, since he's decline we have struggled.

Even when we finished 5th twice we struggled with the physical side of the game, but out ability go us though.

Everton are built for being rough and tough with the like of DCL, Tarks, Doucouré.

That’s strong cider that. Very tasty though. And quite refreshing.

What , 3 and a half hours before kickoff?

I’m so reconciled to relegation that I’m actually looking forward to the Championship and would almost be annoyed to stay up.

But if the miracle happens I’ll probably realise I was deluding myself as a form of self-preservation!

Slept like a log, always do.

Accepted our fate after Bournemouth. If we survive, we survive, more worried about the people at the top of this club being able to sort this mess in the space of 6 weeks before pre-season

Me too. I resigned to being relegated after the Bournemouth defeat. But if by some miracle we avoid it today it will be fantastic. But till then so far as I'm concerned we're down.

Let's face it, whoever of us gets relegated with Southampton later on today will purely be on merit and not be unlucky in the slightest as all of us in the bottom 5 have been atrocious for most of this season. That purple patch the other side of the World Cup was a real false dawn, given what followed and maybe that ridiculously timed winter tournement did break up our gained momentum and then some - but we'll never know. The fact that we've won just three league games since the World Cup is basically inexcusable with our squad of players and if we do by some twist of fate manage to stay up today then it will be ill deserved in all honesty, even if it's obviously what we all want to happen!

Been pretty withdrawn for a few weeks, refused to watch or listen to the Newcastle game and was quite shocked to hear the result at the end. Going today, don’t really want to but hey, the missus and brother in law are eternal optimists and they are dragging me along. I resigned myself to championship football a few weeks back, even to the point of checking routes to clubs I’ve not yet visited. We all get too involved in this game….that’s the joy of being a fan. 🤦‍♂️
