To be expected. The media want the cartel to rule as they bring in the money. Us winning the league and then the fa Cup and community shield wasn't allowed. Most of the media and the friends of the cartel will be delighted that we have been relegated and can no longer affect the status quo

...and no real issue being made over the fact that we have reduced transfers since covid to make sure we comply with FFP, while Everton break FFP by large amounts multiple times over the same period and stay up.

Don't get me wrong, we deserve to go down, but this stuff should be challenged much more by the media and others.

You can make an argument that FFP is a bad thing or a good thing, but, what is definitely bad, even morally wrong, is for some clubs to be following the rules and others not, and resulting in a competitive advantage.

I'm sorry pal, but this is more victim mentality shite.

 

The media are piling in precisely BECAUSE we'd smashed the glass ceiling and had become a PL aristocracy. No words written about Norwich or Southampton or West Brom, the club we were. We are now a Villa, a Newcastle, a Leeds. We are a story and it is an absolute omnishambes that we've fcked it up

Great article from Percy. Looks like he's going after Rudkin and rightly so. Interesting how he mentions that Whelan isn't involved in the footballing side of the operation yet had to intervene in the sale of Fofana. Suggests to me that there's concerns about Rudkin's ability to do his job within the boardroom.

100% agree that we've fcked up and our relegation is an absolute disgrace given the players we have. Doesn't take away from the fact that many in the media will revel in our downfall

That's my point. The media are interested in us. Revelling (not that I think they do) or otherwise. Doesnt matter. We mattered. And now we won't. 

 

The club need to reframe this narrative quickly like a.Juve or Rangers or even Schalke...that we become a major story in the lower Leagues. The damage to the brand, to our legacy is grotesque if we dont dictate a narrative of a big fish in a small pond that cakewalks the division

Appreciate Bayern Munich are in a while different echelon to us, but they fired their CEO and DoF after scraping a title win. 
 

Things are just too nice at the club, we need a proper operator in the DoF role. Top has to remove Rudkin.

Sometimes think the media hold us in a bigger stature than some of our fanbase 

 

Us going down is a much bigger story than Leeds

Being a bit of an ostrich if you deny Rodgers called it and changes needed to happen, he is to blame for part of it but he was also let down in the summer by the board, they all play a part but for me most of the blame falls at Rudkin's door

A good 60% of our fanbase are pathetic individuals. Absolute losers. I'm not a winner in life by any means, but large sections of our support are borderline mentally ill.
