Tbf almost everyone involved in football is going to be on holiday. Including a lot of the players we want to target.

We're obviously going to be working behind the scenes, even the worst run club in the world (and we really aren't) would realise they've got half a squad to replace.

I'm not unsympathetic to this view, but I do feel that the least the club could have done is make a clear statement one way or the other regarding the management team.

It can't be rushed, as a fanbase we will have to face the reality of a year or two to get back on an upward trajectory and even that seems a bit fanciful. Young hungry manager with a few young signings, to build the foundations again.

Of course it would be great to go back up next year, but we have to get the right manager, structure in to facilitate this, hence the not rushing. I doubt they had anyone specific in mind the way the last year has gone

I mean they'll have to make changes, that's not my worry.

It's how late they leave it and the fact we will be left picking up the scraps.

Which has been a chronic problem at the club long before the cracks started to show. We haven't done our business early for ages - since Championship days it seems.

I had to do a double take when Vardy's 11th year 'on this day' came around the other week. Could you imagine us signing a pre-agreement with a player in May these days?

Would love to keep Madders and Barnes but if they go we need to sell them as early as possible at the right price so we can replace as early as possible, none of the dragging like Fofana where things might turn a bit sour too.

Personally, I'd not be doing that after my club was relegated...

Perhaps that's just me, no?

Sad reality is we are just a rich blokes hobby.

You never know, he might be letting Rudkin and Whelan to run things without him checking up on them..

Don’t Give a toss what Top does with his wealth and spare time as long as he looks after our club. Right now my sites are set on what rudkin and whelan are doing to fix the mess they got us in

If Top was going to bin Rudders it would have happened by now IMO.

What we will get is a new manager. A review of the scouting system, some vague statements of backing the manager and see where we go.

...we are no longer a forward-thinking club, we should have plans in place for eventualities, and not have to make knee-jerk reactions to unfolding situations!!!

Khun Top when he signed off on Rodgers's new contract must have believed that this was a win-win situation. A well-respected manager who would at least retain our Premier League status for a good 4 years, and King Power could use the TV rights money to fund infrastructure using the funds as collateral.

This all serves to prove that Khun Top needs to be here permanently as the job requires a more hands-on approach and two big-time decisions to be made.

Appoint a new DoF, and get in a manager with a remit to get us back in the top 6 in 2 years.

There is little point shooting for less, that is not how his father worked and he has now to adopt a similar approach.

...conversely, knowing that we have the funds in place, may drive prospective acquisition prices upwards!!!

Rudkin isn’t going anywhere

Think people need to realise that if Top’s here Rudkin will always be too

...there is no reason why Rudkin cannot continue to be part of Khun Top's life, Horse raising and the other jobs that he does but steps aside from the DoF position at LCFC!!!

He obviously has a lot on his plate (Rudkin), and all it would take would be a call from OHL for Rudkin to step down to trigger a KP reaction. Perhaps they are more militant than ourselves.

Top 6 in two years with no money and a whole new team to put together? Unless you mean the championship, then there is zero chance of that happening.

...we will soon find out about the monies available to us for this season!!!

I believe with sales it will be a lot more than you think.

We have to set goals and although top 6 in 2 years in the Premier League maybe a push, we need to push ourselves to not accept where we now find ourselves.

Borthwick turned Tigers around in two seasons, we regained the top spot, with the right people in charge turning this around is no bigger job to do.

In a way you are right. But I think the difference is it use to be the local guy made good, worth a few bob or 3 or 4 locals with a bit of money.

Now its global billionaires, totally out of touch with reality.

How do they have a chance of relating to the every day fan.

Oh for sure. Just likely less bullshit with it then and easier to stomach it being likely a local chap with links to the club/community.
