Loans 23/24

Recommended Posts

You don't just suddenly become a crap footballer at his age, I agree with a few others here in that he's not been managed properly by us. Shown a lot of promise but he a) should have had a decent loan spell a couple of seasons ago instead of jumping straight through to the first team and b) physically he should have spent the last couple of summers bulking up and working on his strength. Showed enough during Covid that there was a player in there but he's regressed and seems like he tries too hard now but doesn't have the physicality to cope with it.

2024 is all on him to recoup his career and I wish him all the best being a local Syston/Leicester lad. Should be supported being one of our own not dumped on.

That’s plainly unfair.

Was told he was utterly distraught when we went down. Took to heart far more than other players due to him actually being a City fan.

Yeah it looks he’s not going to make it at PL level but he had a number of good games for us too.

Not worthy of the vitriol

I'm sure also that whom your teammates are and their quality will affect your game. He's gone from playing with very good PL players to some half decent Championship players. Of course that doesn't excuse any underlying weaknesses but it makes it much more difficult to perform  and learn in a losing environment.

Shame for Luke because I think there was a player there.

No denying he's technically sound.

He needed to go on loan well before now. He'll be 23 by the time he's a City player again. He should have been sent to play week in week out in a quality, attacking Championship side last season if not the year before.

Feel his progress has stagnated, he's not got any real value and he's probably going to be sold for a cheap sum to some Championship mid-table plodders like Stoke.

There’s  a lot of people blaming the club for him being mismanaged but he’s got to take some blame himself.Hasn’t looked like he has tried to improve any of his weaknesses himself in anyway . As mentioned just simple  things like his fitness and bulking up in the gym .

Been getting more and more game time as the season has been going

Picked up his first assist of the season in their last game
