I'm comfortable with the scoreline given that Liverpool are a far better team than us, but what is alarming is the set-up and experimentation with the players. It just highlights the disastrous nature of this pre-season. We're massively short of game time. We shouldn't be a week away from starting the season and still be looking at the different options, Maresca should be in the position where he knows what his team will be and this week should be all about refining the details so we can hit the ground running. Yet again the organisation behind the scenes is none existent.

Poor old Winksy has absolutely drowned in this game. He’s been swamped every time he’s got possession. He’s taken to wall passing back to Vesty to allow the giant Dane to hoof it back to Liverpool.

You are right, I was about to write 'Vestergaard you fuppin baxtered!' then realised it didnt look quite right. 

 

I'll get there by mid August.

Just don't see any benefit in having this friendly.

 

Should be at home battering a league 2 side to build confidence instead.
