He’s been offered to a few English PL clubs. None have taken up the offer….. funny that.

Anyone interested will be looking at his ability, salary and application. He is not that great ability wise, Not worth anywhere near what we are paying and his application is very poor. If we were looking at him it would be a no on that alone.

Any half decent DOF would have sorted this out though. Full pressure on his agent and active work to get him out of the club.

Years ago !!

It truly shows what a Mickey Mouse club we are

If either he or Soumare start ahead of Page in James absence then I will genuinely view this as the biggest scandal of this truly horrifying season.

You can't rule it out either.

I bet a tenner Soumare starts against Oxford.

Don’t be silly, he has “PL experience”, we’d be all over Winks as a signing 🤮

Bigger than playing two blokes at fullback who aren't fullbacks, whilst having 3 fullbacks on the bench?

Winks has no intention of doing anything till June when he will be a free agent. Will sit and collect the money. A club enquirerd but his agent is not talking unless it is more than Leicester pay now.

Wholly expected. And I do understand why somebody would not want to leave one job for a less well-paid job. What I struggle to understand is how Winks can happily continue being the highest paid member of the squad while refusing to show the attitude or application expected of him, putting the club in an impossible position in which we can't benefit from his services nor use his wages to better effect elsewhere. It might be the rational choice financially for him, but he's knowingly causing us a massive headache at what is clearly a very difficult time for the club. You might think that self-respect would come into the equation, but apparently not.

Yes, but in fairness it wasn't Winks who gave him the ridiculous wage.  You, yourself have alluded to you wouldn't leave a job for less money.  So, Winks

will stay here pick up his 90k a week and see out his contract.  Personally don't blame him.

You would think that given his attitude other clubs would be put off. It seems that this isn’t the case even when players refuse to play.

All he will find is a championship club but will still be earning a good wedge.
I quite agree he’s a bit of a ****.

I don't blame him for not wanting to forego the £90k per week. I absolutely blame him for doing so while refusing to the job he's paid for.

If he went on loan and we got £30k pw from the other club, he still gets his £90k.

He also shows his next club what he can do. While he rots at Seagrave his next contract value goes down and down, he won't even get 90k pw in Saudi let alone the UK.

I’ve got a very bad feeling we will see a midfield of Soumare Hamza & Reid just in front.

Can't blame him for picking up the wage,  we all would, but he should be held accountable for attitude.

He shouldnt be picking up a wage he isn't doing the job for! He has a very high opinion of himself and arrogance.  Disgusting behaviour tbh

If he is training with the U21's he should be picking up their pay scale

Imagine having a job where you can just say because you miss your old manager you can't be arsed anymore but you get paid anyway.

There's a huge issue now with the lack of jeopardy for footballers at Winks' age. You see more and more players now dropping off a cliff way earlier than they should do. Once they've made enough and lose the hunger, they don't give a ****. I don't quite recall it to the degree of Winks though. There should be more in place to stop this kind of behaviour. Absolutely disgusting.

Except that's not it, is it.

It's "we're choosing to send you to work with the apprentices for reasons that are entirely subjective and because you're working with them, we're going to pay you their rates regardless of what it says on your contract."

He has a contract and unless he is in breach of contract we will honour it - it's a very different situation to being ''at work'' as you don't have a fixed term contract with stipulated pay regardless of performance.

If he's sitting at home (does anyone know this??) the club might have told him to stay away, if so he is obeying instructions and fulfilling his contract.

It's a fact of life whether people get upset about it or not, footballers contracts are bullet proof and he will be getting his £90K a week whether it's morally right or wrong until June.

He is there allegedly because of his behaviour and incidents before games and in training sessions.....if that is the case thats not them choosing its a disciplinary issue

This is a contract issue because this should be in contracts, it would be for us normal people hence me saying player power. He knows he can behave like a disgrace, sit on his arse and earn thousands a week and now has the audacity to decline a move as he wants more money......sorry but he is a pr*ck!
