It's probably the only reason we have got him to keep Winks happy and Vesterguard.

If winks does leave I think it'll be a deadline day deal. Where we end up paying half his wages anyway.

Made his career out of it, sorry state football has become, it does however seem to be changing back to the better with more attack minded tactics, unfortunately not in our case it seems.

If I was his agent, I’d be telling him to sit tight and not make any waves.  The idea being to get his contract cancelled with a payout of something like 1/1.5 m 
 

then he’d be able to move as a free agent and command a better s/o fee. 

 

otherwise he has to wait till next summer for that and as a year older, that fee becomes lower. 

 

with his o/s wages payable, I’m pretty sure we struggle to get anything for him anyway.  could be an ‘undisclosed fee’ move to avoid further embarrassment for the club.

away for 2 years and absolutely nothing has happened. We wont be getting rid of the bloke.
