I'd win the F1 if I had the best car, setup the best way, with the best team strategist and a track suiting my skill level. (and all the other drivers were OAP's/children)

You’re making the same point I was trying to make. As per my last sentence, when everything is in his favour he can look good, when the pressure comes on he disappears.
