It's weird to me his thread is so active yet Vesty and Faes not.........they are woefully worse than him....apparently more experienced and international players! Yes VK has improvements to make but he is young and how can he learn and improve alongside those two...same as Okoli.....??

I think it's more that people are in agreement about Faes and Vesty, there's not much debate to be had whereas with VK there's more disagreement.

My thoughts on VK are that while I'm not knocking his effort or work rate, it seems a bit naive to just run yourself into the ground every game at this level. Lots of running does not a good player make. Players at this level should be more thoughtful about picking their moments to do the running, and as we're obviously not playing a high intensity pressing system his running is all on his own so won't accomplish much.

Again, not blaming him, I think it's obviously lack of direction from the manager. You can't just have 11 players on a pitch doing their own thing. If the manager wants people pressing and breaking away at pace, that needs to happen as a team and it obviously isn't Ruud's plan.

If he has an experienced leader playing next to him to shout instructions at him that would help so much, but at the moment he's just left to his own judgement and he's not got the experience at this level to do that.

He's still young and there's lots of room for improvement and I think he has attributes to be a decent full back, but I think he needs a rest and Thomas is good enough to rotate in more often. Would benefit both, and the team.

He's not a kid, but I certainly do forget his age sometimes. He will have a decent career I think, probably in Europe but never seemed to have settled here and whilst he runs he doesn't look like he enjoys anything about being here.

Thomas looked decent against United in the cup apart from that one time he let dorgu in. Villa away too he was decent. VK is seriously overrated man.

I thought he was one of our better players yesterday, not hard I know. Makes lung bursting overlaps over and over again and no one passes to him. Defensively it's obvious he's been told to defend centrally with the LW defending out wide. Rarely works because there's always acres of space there. Overall I dont think he's really suited to the extra pace and physicality of the PL. He'll do well in Europe though.

He always looks like one of the kids at Cross Country that doesn’t finish last, but about five from the end and it has taken a Herculean effort

Not the biggest problem....if he had actual defenders alongside him it would make a massive difference

Because then he wouldn't have to defend and could concentrate his efforts at being shit going forward?

Get rid in the summer if we get a decent offer, don't rate him at all,and no he won't be better in the champ, he will get thorn to bits in the champ  as well.

If he leaves I will miss his aimless punts up the touchline likes he been given a DVD of Alan Rogers to study.

He runs around a lot, but my god how has he made it as a footballer.

Should give all young kids out there hope that they one day can actually make it as a Premier League player

People laughed at me when I said Luke Thomas is better than him. Still laughing now? He's a shocking full back. Runs around like a headless chicken and his touch is crap
