My only concern is if (when) Ricardo gets injured and we can no longer play with an inverted full back. Do we then switch to a traditional back 4 meaning JJ at RB and Doyle at LB. Who is the cover for that? Hamza?

All being well, we attack with a back 3 and so the lack of full backs won’t be a problem but with our injury record we should never say “all being well”.

Overall, 8/10 for me. Had we kept hold of VK it would be an 8.5 and had we got Daka off the books (he could still go to turkey) that would have made it a 9/10. A lot of FT users have been screaming for Wilf to go but I’m actually glad he’s stayed. I think we’ll need options when we get to two games a week and he will be very useful for us.

I think we go 3-5-2 With Albrighton as the RIght Wing Back and Justin as the LWB.

With Coady, Faes and Doyle as the three CBs.

Overall good.  Hopefully a loan  or two out in the next couple of weeks - Daka and a keeper.

Wilf and Ndiddi are the key players whose contracts expire next year and we’ve kept them to support the promotion push.  The right call for me but is a risk.

Whose squad is genuinely better than ours?  We have to be aiming for top two

Would have loved to have kept Cags and Barnes but not bothered about the rest.

Some good players in, had we shifted Daka and Ward(somehow) it would have been an excellent window, still a solid 8 out of 10.

Overall happy with what we've done to date.

Like most of the replies I would have liked to see a few more gone although you can't blame the players for not going.

We've handed them the Contracts and the Premiership wages. None of us would take a cut in wages  when you can  sit it out and still rake it in.

My only concern is those players will be unhappy and you don't want or need negativety in the workplace.

Sorry if this has been posted, but does the loan window re-open for EFL clubs for a short while in about another 2 weeks or has this been scrapped. If so, I could see us picking up another loanee who doesn't make a premier league squad.

Just about Yes for the outgoings, from me. But it's not a "good" outgoing window. Maddison and Barnes really do the heavy lifting but keeping hold of 5 GK is ridiculous.

Shame we couldn't shift Daka and Souttar but they should be able to come into the squad.

Only getting 37.5m for Maddison is gonna bother me for a while

I understand we had to sell but ffs you're talking about a 26 year old English creative midfielder with double figure goals and assists playing for the worst side in the league.

Now looks like arguably the best No.10 in the Prem and seems very likely to nail down spot as England starter.

Fair value is probably another 100 mill on top of what we got

oh and he went to fking Spurs btw

Honestly that was on reflection an unbelievably busy window.  Thank **** we had someone with a clear idea of what he needed in charge for the rebuild.

I think we've done superbly. Loads of deadwood flushed and young hungry players in to take us up. This has all the hallmarks of Pearson/Shakespeare/Walsh when they rebuilt Sven's squad.

I fully expect Ricardo and Justin to be out injured, probably at the same time - and then we have Hamza as a makeshift RB/CM which doesn't really scream piss the league.

On top of that if Winks gets injured we're absolutely ****ed. So when Winks and Ricardo are both injured what do we do as we're sure as shit not going to change the system.

We're very thin on CMs and with Praet Injured, Ndidi unable to pass, KDH unable to pass, i wonder if we can pick up a CM/DM on the free (Mendy available???)

I think we’ve got the balance right with youth and experience. Seems similar to when we went up with Pearson but more squad quality. I do worry if a full back is injured. Would of kept one of Thomas or Kristensen. But I suppose they want regular football. At least we have enough keeper’s to pick from with the obvious exception of Ward.

I needed an 'average' option on the outgoings. It was always going to be hard to get rid of everyone in the one window and expect us to be very busy with this in January again.

Think the incomings have been largely impressive.  Some great young talent but some of them might take time to find their feet. We may need to be a little patient.

The part im not happy with is the number of players still leaving on a free in the summer. Some are delighted about Ndidi and Nacho staying, but im not. We will see later in the year if running deals down affects their performances. Maybe we get something for Nacho in January if he is still not pulling up any trees.

OK window. Letting Maddison and Barnes go for what we did is criminal imo. A few of the latter signings feel like risks and there's still a lot of deadwood kicking about, including those that'll be back here in a year. I'd give it a 6/10.

Depends how your breads buttered.

No one can be happy losing Maddison, Barnes, Tielemans in the same window without replacing them for like for like quality ( no disrespect to newbies). In fact it’s heartbreaking!

but of course it’s consequence of relegation so have to accept it..…. But still our worst window for years

Personally think this is a bit too binary. I'm 50/50 on the outgoings. We did the big sales early that allowed us to have a good window on signings, but the inability to shift some players is frustrating.

Happy with the signings but wish we'd got another big loan from city or something.
