What does Rob Tanner actually do? Does he even cover us anymore? Has he ever got a transfer exclusive?

No - he's replied to comments in The Athletic that due to Leicester being in League One, he can't just be a Leicester beat writer anymore, so is having to do stories on things like gurning competitions as well!

For people complaining about the position of the club or him being a mouthpiece of the club, he's basically lost part of his job as a result of the club's mismanagement, so is probably writing some of this through gritted teeth.

I used to go on their coach when I was about 14.

I don’t want to talk about it.

I can't really be sympathetic.

He's in a position where he could actually do some real reporting and journalism. There's plenty there to point at and bring to light.

Being a sycophant to generate money isn't exactly a sympathetic position to me. It screams complicit.

Further to this - the fact he's paid by someone NOT associated with Leicester and who has played on their independent (and therefore subjective) status means he's in a position to write about the bad side. He's not reliant on the club's good will.

If anything this is an indicator that he agrees with that garbage.

I can't imagine the Athletic leadership approaching him - 'Rob, we really need you to write a puff piece for Russel Martin that settles down discontent at the KP. It's really important to us.

No. We don't want anything that Leicester fans might want to read. Just loads of quotes from aging supporters please.'

Pretty sure the Ginettas battered Claude Puel, pretty poor from the back the lads gang. Still in Copenhagen based on the below lol

But Leicester Supporters’ Club chairman Cliff Ginetta was just as damning of the new appointment.

He said: “Puel’s reputation is not good and his appointment will not go down too well. Results are everything but we want to see attacking football because we have some good flair players. We were looking for a big name like Ancelotti or Pellegrini.

“We won the league and we’ve played in the Champions League so we should have been ambitious.”

That sums up the **** perfectly.

I've said for a long time that the biggest King Power cheerleaders were also Puel's biggest critics. Puel was underwhelming but we were a mid table Premier League side under him. We're now a mid table League 1 side and they continue to tell us that we're being unreasonable.

The King Power supporters/fools and Rudkin x Nepo Baby deserve each other.
