Because the change may well be forced upon us. I’m not scared of this, in fact I think it does us a favour

I am not scared of it, it is what it is, but I think it would damage our chances next season of staying up.

Everyone wanted him gone after Plymouth, since then we scraped a couple of wins together to just get over the line(which was down to the players)..It’s not the end of the world if he leaves

It’s more the impact completely changing the style of play could have on the squad that’s concerning.

That’s true. It’s also not what you said.

you said 0 money and 8 points as if they were facts.

I don’t understand why people are making such deterministic judgements on Leicester’s chances next season, or indeed Maresca’s chances to do well, given:

We don’t know what the deduction will be

we don’t know how much we’ll spend

we don’t know who we’ll sell or buy

we don’t know if incomings will be good or not

Because whatever number of points it is, will be catastrophic.

Because we already know it’s likely not going to be enough

Replacing a proven Premier League manager with a novice is quite the gamble, but if Chelsea offer Maresca the job, of course he’ll take it. He’d be mad not to.

If they don’t, though, we’d better not offer him a ridiculous, potentially ruinous contract just because they came sniffing. And if he isn’t happy with his lot after the interest from elsewhere, the last thing we need is a Rodgers-type situation where a miffed manager is no longer psychologically invested in or fully committed to the team or the club.

I can’t believe they haven’t stuck with Poch to build something and going the direction they are, completely lost their heads.

If they do, just like “that twat” Rodgers, it won’t Enzo’s their fault - mismanagement is it’s own bogeyman.

Has anyone been on any Chelsea boards? I can’t imagine the prospect of Chelsea fans having Maresca or McKenna after 1 and 2 decent seasons at a lower level aligns with their idea of being one of europes biggest clubs?

It’s a fair opinion. My own opinion is that I don’t think playing the Enzo way with the (lack of) quality we have in the squad, will work. Likelyhood is we’ll be changing manager at Xmas (if we keep Enzo), if the change is forced upon us now, we get a head start on the new plan.

How do the Enzo out brigade square the fact that a club of Chelsea’s stature are serious about him?

They're not a well run club so I'm not sure this is a great argument 🤣

Pochettino wanted more control over transfers and ins and outs of the club like he had at Tottenham, but Chelsea are run differently. I personally would give him that control as he's a top coach.

The more football becomes a play thing (or financial restructuring platform )  this type of boardroom oversight or management will become ever more prevalent I am guessing.

Was it catastrophic for both Forest and Everton?

It can be a max of 8, but is likely to be six….. that’s not the end of the world.

I think for a manager that plays on the relationship between the players and the fans, it's probably already gone too far for him to come back around now.

If this is a play from his journo mate for a contract rise it's blown right back in his face.

Now we face a battle with Ipswich to see who can land David Moyes!

There is a bunch of tweets and a YouTube clip by the usual suspects, and your go to this? Bit of a kangaroo court.no?

It's intriguing to me that a club that's spent like drunken sailors the past couple of seasons under Boehly is now going el cheapo with the managers they are reportedly looking at.

Everton did brilliantly due to Dyche. (See me numerous comments above, regarding the need for exactly this kind of manager, in this kind of circumstance)

Forest only survived due to the poor three teams below them. Last season was a complete free hit for the other 17 teams, we won’t be so lucky next season - In fact we’re very likely to be one of the ‘three’
