Potential left-footed defender option.

Frans Kratzig on loan from Bayern. Predominantly a LB, can play CB & CM.

Who could we send to Plymouth on loan? Losing some important players

Azaz being an attacking midfielder and Cundle a central midfielder, is it too simplistic to say Alves and Braybooke (assuming the latter is back playing which maybe he isn’t yet).

Does sharky not wanna retire or  is he waiting for Vardy to make the first move?

Didn’t he say last season he wanted his kids to see him play

Yeah but that could’ve easily been front of house for “Rodgers has lost it and I don’t want a relegation on my cv”

I’m never in the know on stuff but my other half’s family are Posh fans and have a bit of an ear. Edwards was at at least a one of our home games at the back end of last season. I thought we’d have a look despite the relegation to be honest. He makes ideal sense for Palace though.

Agreed. What makes it more odd is on the face of it  it seemed the perfect match

i’m not so sure about that. Cags would be much more suited to a side like barca than athleti… i don’t think he’s good enough at defending for them (not many are) But they build on such a solid back line and cags is a little bit suspect positionally, whilst also being a bit rash in the challenge.

He’s certainly not the defensive master that DE would require

Main target definitely needs to be a new number 8 with Wilf out for 3 months

Annoying players need to leave first though so I think it will end up being one late into the window

I really do like Sara's numbers at Norwich, but haven't watched him much? Can he make the step up? Signings we make now need to have the next step in mind. No good needing to find replacements for our signings in six months time.

I do think we'll be back for McAtee in the summer, when we replace Sheffield United in the Prem. He has looked promising following Wilders arrival.

Enzo also kept saying players needed to leave first last summer whilst Yunus and Fatawu were at the training ground having medicals.

Why does a player need to leave first?

If it isn’t for FFP then just drop Praet and Ward from the 25 man squad.

Related to this, why did Iverson have a squad place in the first place? Have we got a youth goalie who can cover as third choice? Does ward have a squad place? Is he now staying as third choice?

I suspect it is to do with finances

As in breaking FFP or we are just brassic?

Worrying if it’s the latter.

The worrying thing is we’ve heard this under two managers now. I’m not expecting us to splurge hundreds of millions while in the Champ, but a decent 8 who has potential to play in the Prem you’d expect to get at 10m. If we can’t do that, how fooked are we?

Rodgers used this line as his excuse. Enzo doesn’t strike me as like that but you have to worry it’s board level if two managers with very different approaches are trotting it out.

Wether it's FFP or not, we still can't afford to pay player good wages to train for six months AND add more players to the squad... that's just not realistic.

We don’t have the funds to make a 10m purchase in January come the summer for sure. Unless we sell a player or two.

It will be a loan signing in I reckon , hopefully Carvalho and that will be it.

It’s realistic if the player coming is on premier quality and gets the time to work with Enzo before next season.
We will surely need to replace 5/6 players for next season so getting some in now would be a huge help for ensuring PL survival next year.

It's SMART but paying two peoples wages to do so just isn't a position we are in. So no, I wouldn't agree that it is realistic.
