Winks is an incredible signing. Didn’t excite me initially. I was wrong. The guy is absolute mustard and getting better and better.

Before he was a bog standard mustard, noe He’s Coleman’s mustard you hide from your relations on Sunday Roast days…

We’ve never lost a match after I’ve started the previous post-match thread

I’ve not got a single match prediction right this season which is working out beautifully lol

You could tell at the end of the game that he knew this was his last game. Just stood there motionless until Maresca came over.

I said at the time what a great signing Winks is and I don't mind saying I told you so.

There was a really strange attitude from some of you in the summer where you forgot the level we were at. To think a player like Winks wouldn't be this great at this level was absolutely bizarre.

Further still, there was a really strange hatred from Leeds fans telling us we'd wasted money on Winks and Coady and they're nothing special. Hope we spank them on Friday.

It’s this sort of post that I find so tiresome, just enjoy the moment.

Before you search I have posted nothing about the Winks signing so I have no strange attitude.
One upmanship  when we’re doing well is needless, what I do agree with you is that they need a spanking next Friday 🦊

Not a surprise, but QPR weren't bad at all today. Their players did not play like those that had downed tools, though perhaps they were playing knowing that Ainsworth was on his way after the match?

We were the better team, but this was a case of "team with less resources battles bravely and puts up a good fight, but is undone by quality." Something you could say about us in quite a few games we've had against Man City for example.

I thought they battled and defended well. Just devoid of real quality. We did well to stay patient and wear them down.

I think they just raised their game because they were playing us. Most teams will do that this season. By all accounts QPR have been a disgrace and yet I thought that was quite tough today.

Made hard work of that and we looked complacent, sloppy and at times a tad lazy.

But, the 3 points are the most important, and it was a cracking goal from Winks worthy of winning the game.

Fatawu and Winks were probably our best players.

Have to improve a hell of a lot next Friday!

From what i saw of leeds against stoke, i don't think we'll be facing anything we haven't already seen at this level.  Besides, we're almost certainly going to raise our game - that's what seems the most intriguing thing about us under maresca - knowing exactly how hard we need to work.

People say we were poor, but I don't really think that was true. We definitely gave a sloppy goal away and had some pedestrian passing at the back, but we were always in control of the game and had some good fluency in the final third. Definitely far away from our best, but we still totally dominated that game.

For this sort of game shows the mark of Champions! It's almost like we had plot armour in that someone was always going to turn up to win it, and this time round it was Super Harry Winks. Pretenders would drop points in this type of game, but we still did what we had to and got all 3 points.

We can't beat everyone and will drop points. Maybe even as soon as the next game! But this type of game shows we can dig out results when needed, and the last time we got promoted we had plenty of days like this.

I think the frustration is more that we really didn't look like we wanted to put a wounded beast to the sword - they came in with little to no confidence and with two makeshift CBs and yet we seemed content to just do the usual 'patient' routine - and they weren't even sitting that deep. I'd just have liked to see us taking a few more risks and testing their bottle, instead we kind of just killed time and allowed them into the game.

Yes, we got the 3 points, but we made it much harder for ourselves than it realistically should have been.

What does it prove…are you determined just to dampen your own  weekend…

99-9% of fans couldn’t give a flying fk…Its the 3pts however, that counts.

We are a new outfit having to learn all the phases presented, there is no should or obvious at this time in the season.

Someone tell me we've got the most managers the sack.

It certainly feels like we've got the most managers the sack.

It was a trend at one point...

Fired by CEO Lee Hoos . Wasn’t he associated with City in some capacity in recent years ? ( or am I getting confused ? - entirely possible)

Was our Chief Exec. Left in 2011. Went to Burnley then QPR.
